Phoenix area hotels bouncing back after pandemic for spring training

baseball. Spring training is back in full swing here in the valley. Fans coming in droves to all of the ballparks. There's 10 of them in all and they're staying at our hotels, which we know have had some staffing issues in the past. We've got David out at Sloan Park this morning with how the hospitality industry is rallying with spring training. Hey, David, good morning. Hey, Colton, Kylie. Yeah, good morning. Yes. So my important history here. We know we have the pandemic, then the lockout. So it's been pretty difficult for the hospitality industry to find workers and then to have fans. So how's it looking this year for 2024? Well, let's take you back to Friday, where there was a lot of people here at Sloan Park. We wanted to ask some hotels about how they felt about all these people coming into town. So we asked the courtyard Marriott here. There's 60 ft from the front gate here at Sloan Park, where the Cubs play. We want to see if their bullpen, so to speak, was short for the Cactus League and if they were prepared for all of these people coming for the games. Take a listen. Well, you can never be fully prepared. There's always something that's gonna come up, but we're as prepared as you can be. We're very fortunate. We have our ownership group and our management team is fantastic. So we've really created an atmosphere for our staff to be retained and find new staff. So we're in a very fortunate position where we're actually fully staffed right now. Okay, so it looks like the courtyard Marriott here has bounced back. Well, I wanted to ask them if they had any rooms still available to know they get booked up quickly. They do have some rooms still available, ranging from $259 to $459. It depends on just how busy the weekend is. For instance, St Patrick's Day weekend here at Sloan Park is usually a madhouse, so they should. They're telling you to book as soon as you possibly can. If you're coming for that weekend or any for that matter, guys, because we know it gets pretty rowdy out here for the Cactus League. Yeah, it's prime hotel season here. This is a time where we don't usually do staycations because let's face it, right? You can't do it. Exactly. Yeah. Thanks, David.
