The things in our lives are as wonderful as a full moon, but none of the four bone scripts of moon that we see here is full. The first one stands for new moon in the beginning of a month, which is thin and tiny. The third moon appears to be much brighter. A stroke was added in the middle of the fourth one. This stroke may stand for either the lonely silhouette of Chang'e or that of the laurel or the rabbit accompanying Chang'e. The bronze script didn't change much in shape. The shadow remains in all four of them. The second moon's crescent faces right. In the seal script, both the shadow and the bottom part were pulled longer. The up-down symmetry in the bone scripts is no longer seen. Turn the seal script 90 degrees and pull straight the curved strokes. We'd get the regular script we now use.
