In the "Hong Fan," happiness is discussed, and there are five aspects to happiness: Longevity means one's life is not cut short and is blessed with longevity. Wealth and honor mean having abundant wealth and a noble status. Health and well-being mean having a healthy body and a peaceful mind. Good morals mean being naturally kind, generous, and serene. A peaceful death means passing away peacefully without encountering sudden disasters. Since "bat" sounds like "blessing" in Chinese, using five bats symbolizes the arrival of the five blessings. Finally, here, using this inkstone with the words "Five Blessings at the Doorstep" carved on it, I wish everyone a prosperous year of the Dragon, full of blessings and good fortune.
