(Laliga 2023/2024): Highlights VILLARREAL - GETAFE

And for Villarreal, currently under Marcelino García-Toral, their third different manager of the season. Things just haven't clicked for them so far. And they look to try and make a stand and an improvement on their season so far. In midfield tonight, as we see the ball now, is played through the middle to Gonzalo Guedes, who goes round to Vizzoria! But the offside flag is raised. Very well taken by Gonzalo Guedes. It is going to be Alex Paena! And it's a brilliant effort on target. Forcing Soria... ...his right foot. Very confident on both feet. As Greenwood plays a lovely ball in here, it drops for the shots! And the opener! It's Nemanja Maksimovic! Getafe, with their first clear chance of the evening, take the lead and start... However, it's Gonzalo Guedes who finds Alex Paena! Fine shot on target, and again, denied by David Soria. On and out, played in by Villarreal. The touch, just on the line! And dealt with by Soria again. Albiol has gone down in the penalty area. Played back to him brilliantly again by Guedes! And another save from Soria! It's rinse and repeat. Now it's Ilias, to the edge of the box, for Alex Paena. Comes off the Getafe back line. Now it's Santi Gomez-Saña. It drops again for Moreno! And there is the equaliser! Chance after chance after chance. Ten minutes into the second half, David Soria is finally beaten. It's not Gerard Moreno, it's Alberto Moreno. And, yeah, Getafe want to try and retake the lead. Jorgensen can't bring the ball under control. Shouts for a penalty, and it's just kept off the line! After the shot from Mason Greenwood. A nervy moment there at the back for Villarreal. Takes this throw quickly. Moreno tries to throw it through now for... Morales! And a fine save again from Soria, who eventually picks up the scraps. He's headed back to... It's helped on at the front post! Eventually swept away. Bertrand Traore. It's Luis Milla with a lovely ball in. Headed away by Morales. The points are shared at La Ceramica. 1-1 between Villarreal and Getafe. Here's the final score. Villarreal will feel like they've dropped two points. Getafe will feel...
