(Laliga 2023/2024): Highlights REAL BETIS - ALAVÉS

Those in attendance tonight. Monday morning may be just around the corner, but Sunday night football is... Their seats giving their instructions. Now it's Nabil Fekir. Cuts onto his referred left foot. It's a lovely ball in. The header from Abde. And it hits the roof of the net. Abde, not a player you would associate with headed goals. He's got the pace to beat most defenders in La Liga, if not all of them. And here he is on the ball now. He cuts onto his right. Now onto his left. I believe he just hesitated there to go in. Fornals does so well to stay on the ball. Plays it across. Look at Abde. And what a save! What a save from Antonio Sivina. That's the best chance of the match-up. Two minutes. And we get the first clear chance on goal. However, Alaves now look to go and score at the other end. As Samo Molovion has a shot. It was deflected. And Ruiz Silva has to make the save. So, hopefully this is a sign of what is to come for this... Penalty area. Which is forcing Fornals and Fekir further away from the box. Beden has got himself into the area, though. Chimi Ávila lays it off for Johnny Cardoso! Who gets his shot blocked. He actually let the ball... Fekir. Links up with Abde again. Finds Nabil Fekir! Who goes down in the box! Referee instantly didn't hesitate and said, No penalty. Nabil Fekir. The central defence midfielder is replaced by Cedric Bakambu. A striker. So, for the visitors, will it come down to a simple set-piece? To break the deadlock. It's a good ball in, but the header... At the Benito Villamarín. Good ball here, though, for Cedric Bakambu! And it's just wide! Off the back post. Rodri couldn't get a touch either. Betis asking for a corner. But it's gone. There's only three minutes have been added on. The Betis fans feel that more should be coming. But it's Alaves who are coming on the counter-attack. Ball may drop here for Javi López. It's just clear to Carlos Benavides! On target and a big save from Rui Silva. It's another corner for Alaves. The final whistle has been blown, and indeed it has by the referee, Mateo Busquets Ferrer. So, the MVP of the match-up will go to Nabil Fekir, who is trying to dictate the play for Real Betis, but no goal to set...
