How To Install A 10’ High TV Wallmount & Hide The Power Cord
#tvwallmount #howto #diy
the TV wall mount client is Infinite
Fitness when I need to do a TV wallmount
I go to Harbor Freight to get the wall
mount with tax is about $37 some change
55 in TCL TV everything is included in
this kit except for the self-tapping
screws that go in metal studs in a
commercial
building every TV has their own size
pre-threaded holes TV wall mount kits
come with all sorts of screw sizes I
always pay attention to how long the
screws are when you remove the stock
screws you can just put the screws from
the TV wall mount kit and line them up
and make sure they're not too long so
these will work just fine all right we
got the four screws securely fastened to
the TV with wall mount plate he wants
the bottom of the TV to be 10 ft high
from the top of the wall plate on the
arm looking at 12 in to the bottom of
the TV from the floor 10 ft that's where
the bottom of the TV will be the stud
buddy which is one of my favorite stud
finders by the way it's showing us yes
we are on the metal stud all right so
the way I always do it is get that top
screw in place first then I level this
bracket right here we're nice and level
all right we got all three self tapping
screws in the metal stud now we just got
to lift the TV up here and get it on
this
bracket here we
go I have to get done the
client set it down here like this okay
so since I can lean against the wall a
little bit
too all
together and now I can just lift it
up and I should be able to hook those
screws right there just like that so
let's get that bottom screw on we got
it give it a cleaner look you know with
that power cord so it's not hanging
Loosely and then we're going to run the
power cord this way and then drop it
down the plastic Raceway that we bought
to get down to that power outlet conceal
this red power cord that goes all the
way up there we're going to use this
cable concealer kit by sis we got them
in Black these guys are pretty simple to
install too it just has a self adhesive
tape back here just put it right on the
wall here just like that you know leave
a little Gap or you can put the corner
piece on so that's the corner piece you
just open that up okay all along the way
here run the cable in
just like that just running along the
Raceway so once we get there pop it back
into
place sounds easy enough right oh there
we go just like that just got to push
the the extension cord down a little bit
and you're good to go anyway I need both
hands but that's how you do it and the
client's okay with this much coming out
good get rid of these and all these
slack will be up there on the arm all
right it's set up looking good always
make a level y'all make a level for your
customer your client 10 ft up at the
bottom so that thing is up almost 12 ft
at the top and then again we got the
black Raceway here going along the
baseboard up the corner and he didn't
want to add another section of Raceway
right there I think maybe another foot
and a half to 2 ft and then we could
have done another corner piece and
that's how you wall mount a 55 in TV 10
ft high with a 6t ladder don't use a
six-footer if you got a 8 footer 10
footer a frame definitely use that um
and if you get two people of course even
better but I didn't have anyone to help
me this time that ain't going nowhere so
when a lot of you ask what kind of work
I do I helped Infinite Fitness set up
this new location it's a rehabilitative
gym basically these three squat racks we
drill four 58 in in holes for each squat
rack and then tighten them down with
concrete wedge bolts then assembling and
installing these three fitness equipment
pieces right here I charged $1,500 $500
a piece and that's what we charged for
that for $225 total to wall mount that
TV on a full motion wall mount the
plastic raceways here a
$2,025 for our part in setting up for
Infinite Fitness got my tough built
stack Tech toolboxes here take these
guys everywhere with me now but that's
what I do when I'm not making content
I'm out here installing assembling and
