Luxury resorts and hotels in the East

Hello there fellow travelers. I recently explored the breathtaking Langkawi islands in Malaysia
and found the perfect beachfront retreat. I was on the hunt for a hassle-free sandy paradise
with killer pools, top-notch ratings and all within a reasonable budget for a five-star hotel.
Introducing the Westin Langkawi Resort and Spa, a serene luxury retreat.
Join me as I offer you a glimpse into this peaceful haven.
The lobby is modern, cozy and welcoming. Natural light, comfy seating and friendly staff set the
tone for a relaxed and welcoming stay. I think you'll agree they have selected a nice YouTube
channel on the lobby's freely available computers. Okay, let's go and see my room now.
Room 1213 is a partial ocean view room with a king or two double beds.
As I travel with my wife and 12 year old daughter we chose two double beds.
The mattresses as always with Westin were very comfortable.
The standard price for this room with breakfast for two is 225 dollars. The sea view though
partial is quite enchanting as are the monkeys that you can see in the nearby trees.
Separate rain shower with good quality amenities
and separate toilets. There's also a large bathtub but I never use them and I wish hotels could
replace them more often by a very large shower. For a five-star hotel they could offer a coffee
and tea machine rather than this kettle. Breakfast is proposed in the seasonal tastes restaurant.
You can definitely call that breakfast with a view. Options abound ensuring there's something
to satisfy every palate. You'll find an extensive selection of Malaysian and Chinese specialties.
Don't hesitate to ask the chef for a specially prepared treat like the delicious banana roti.
Japanese food is also available. Apart from the usual juices they also have a great smoothie bar.
The gardens are not only beautiful but also impeccably maintained.
While the beach boasts picturesque wooden huts it's worth noting that during low tide the water
recedes significantly. Surprisingly the water around the Langkawi islands lacks the crystal
clarity found in places like Koh Lipe in Thailand just 30 kilometers away. Renowned for its stunning
turquoise beaches. One great perk especially for those with fair skin like mine is the presence
of beautiful trees on this beach offering much needed shade. Just a heads up as of now one US
dollar is roughly equivalent to slightly less than five Malaysian ringgits. Here's the beach at low
tide. Not so great is it? While the beach might not be ideal for swimming the western Langkawi
makes up for it with four distinct and beautiful swimming pools scattered throughout the expensive
grounds. First up the infinity pool a stunning spot that treats you to breathtaking sunset views.
Additionally close to the infinity pool there's a spacious pool designed specifically for the
little ones. For adults seeking tranquility the spa features an exclusive infinity pool right on
the beach. My personal favorite and where i spent all of my pool time is the enchanting rock pool.
Nestled in the gardens among vibrant palm trees the rock pool is a true gem with its captivating
colors and varied levels. The rock pool is undeniably a true treasure perfectly tucked
into the radiant surroundings of the western Langkawi. In summary it's a beautiful hotel on
stunning grounds providing everything you need for a perfect beach vacation getaway. The only
notable drawback is the sea somewhat murky and subject to tides that cause it to recede
significantly. I hope you enjoyed this video if so a thumbs up would be much appreciated
and for even more content consider subscribing to my channel. Thanks for watching but hey hold on
for a moment as a bonus i've got the perfect vacation restaurant near the hotel to share with
you. It's just a 10 minute grab right away. Alhamdulillah is a fantastic syrian restaurant
in Kua managed by an incredibly hospitable guy offering excellent middle eastern cuisine.
The hummus is to die for. See you soon on the next video of Wanderlust Inn.
