the good member from the 19th
legislative district representative
Walsh thank you Mr Speaker this is a
great initiative brought To Us by the
people of the state and it does an
important thing for everyone in
Washington Mr
Speaker this initiative is the single
most important step that we can take to
fight crime and to restore Public Safety
in our neighborhoods and communities all
around
Washington Mr Speaker this is the reason
that we are here in the capital this
policy restores the best elements of
living in our
state our state is a beautiful place it
is a diverse
place and it is a safe and good place to
live and what this public policy does is
a that allows our Law Enforcement
Officers to follow their
training and use their best
judgment to help enforce the law to the
benefit of all
washingtonians Mr Speaker it is narrowly
constructed to leave in
place current guidelines and rules and
law on
training on supervision so that police
Pursuits are done in a profession
and rational way but it
restores our trust the people's trust in
the Judgment of trained law enforcement
professionals and Mr Speaker when I've
spoken to people in law enforcement
around this state they have told me that
this
reform will not only help them fight
crime and lower Rising crime rates but
it will restore the bond of
trust between the people and law
enforcement and Mr Speaker that will
yield good results for
everyone this is the reason we're here
Mr Speaker please vote Yes on this great
reform for our state thank
you
