In fact, if you just click on this,
it won’t be able to do anything.
Then what can you design it into?
A car exhaust pipe, a bicycle horn handle, etc.
There can be more than two guide curves,
you need four or eight, etc. Actually, all are fine😆
Hi, everyone, Welcome to my channel.
I am Aru.
(I have drawn the head of a hair dryer before) with a circle and a straight slot like this.
If you want to make different changes ?
That’s okay too!
For example, I use the front plane
and then draw an arc first (3 Point Arc).
Like this.
Assuming that's the case.
Assuming that's the case !
I want to design a loft object along the path of this profile.
It's very similar to this thing.
So what can you design it into?
Horns or car exhaust pipes (kinda forget the brand) 🤣
Just search for the off-road vehicle.
In fact, its exhaust pipe is not placed in the position we generally recognize,
but is installed on the roof of the car.
So why do you do this?
It is to avoid absorbing water into the car's engine and causing the engine to explode.
So of course the shape of this profile can be designed.
This one is relatively coarse.
This one is relatively thin.
For example, now there is a path, right?
This is what I use for reference.
I didn’t use it to draw !
Then I draw a shape on the top plane.
This shape might be a square.
Oops, I pressed it wrong.
Click again.
It might be a square.
Let’s see if it’s too big.
OK. It’s almost like.
The bottom is a square.
Then use Reference Geometry -> Line plus Point -> Create a new plane.
Draw a second profile on this face.
Then I use an ellipse.
The ellipse has 4 points.
Actually, an ellipse is the same as a rectangle in four points.
It's just that it's a shape that runs away.
Why? Because what are the points of a rectangle?
It's like a cross.
What are the points of the ellipse? It is cross-shaped,
so it may not correspond to it.
I would recommend adding extra!
I'll mark the dimensions first,
then I want to add...
Put this away and click Tools -> Sketch Tools -> Split Entities
(Set Relations.)
This will make it square!
Then mark the dimensions.
It will be Fully Define Sketch !
Leave the window.
Start creating loft !
Then click on these two.
But it is a straight line, I want it to be able to bend like this!
In fact, if you directly click on this,
it won’t be able to do anything.
Why? Because I didn't do the piercing (restrictions) for them just now,
and the two sketches are not actually intertwined⚠️
So I would suggest that the guide curve sketch be drawn separately !
Draw the front plane again.
For example, if I use a spline,
I will click on it randomly first !
Point plus Sketch -> Pierce.
Point plus Sketch -> Pierce.
It's important that you do this(Pierce).
For example, I set this one to be placed vertically,
but what about this one?
I don’t know.
Let’s just do it ourselves.
Let’s assume it’s like this.
Let’s do a loft again
, click on these two
, and then add a guide curve.
That's all !
Then you can make all kinds of shapes !
You can also make door handles and horn grips for bicycles.
What is sketch 1? I use it as an auxiliary
because I want to capture the arc
and my plane 1 is a new plane that relies on sketch 1 to grow,
so you can use these methods to help your design become more diverse!
The inside of this loft is a shape profile designed by a guide curve.
The outside will follow this line. The inside will run around randomly,
so if you have additional shapes on the inside you want to design.
Then you have to draw the second guide curve,
which is actually more than just this.
You can draw more than two guide curves.
You can have 4 or 8 guide curves. In fact, it can be any number.
Thank you for watching.
