UFC 241 Post Event Recap

[Music] what's going on everybody I just wanted to do sloppily put together recap video and just discuss the card in general I had a draftkings lineup let's just start with my verdict picks actually I got only to correct for verdict Derek Brunson came through as my least confident pick but I didn't know what to expect really from Ian so I went with Brunson just strictly based on experience I think that's what one of them the contest so yeah great showing from Brunson Ian will try to come back and we'll see what happens from there Yusuf and Benitez I thought Benitez found some excellent opportunities in that fight I saw some sharp fetters out there pick Benitez and I thought it was definitely an excellent bet at the time and you could see what they were seeing in that fight but yusuf did come through and win that fight too moving on to Romero and Kosta at the time when I was watching and I didn't see any reason to scream robbery one way or another I do know people were yelling robbery I don't know why I probably have to watch it back to to see what people were seeing but uh when I was watching tonight I thought a costume did excellent and that guy continues to surprise me my pic was Romero yeah just a great fight I need to watch that one back Nate Diaz Anthony Pettis myself and many others have stated this seemed like a close fight on paper could go one of two ways Nate shuts them down as the fight progresses or Anthony pieces made up for three rounds and Pettis didn't quite fight how many of us were expecting and that's largely just stood and eight Diaz putting that pressure on him which takes away that kicking range and that conditioning and that volume came through for him in the latter rounds and it won on the fight just an excellent contest I need to watch this one back as well yeah Nate Diaz coming through with the three-year layoff in a victory and then of course Daniel Cormier losing too steep a Miocic and this is a fight that went exactly how I thought it was gonna go except that the result was different DC finding those same opportunities he that he saw last time landing his shots just really outworking steep a but the difference this time is steep a spear grits determination his shot selection at the end his finishing sequence was just it was awesome to watch probably one of the best finishing combinations I've seen a shot to the body follow-up shots to the head I mean it just really put DC on his ass and I just think ste pay is probably the best Heavyweight at this point in order to be the best you got to beat the best as max Holloway says and that's exactly what he did went out and beat DC who I see as one of the best heavyweights of all time so congrats to steepy on an excellent performance and that's that's what it takes to be a champion in the sport at the heavyweight division my draftkings roster looked a little different as I weighed my salary options and I usually don't bet on fights anyway but I thought this was a fun card and I saw some opportunities with a lineup so my lineup definitely looked different than my verdict picks but we're talking about salaries here and you have to weigh your options so I put Cory San Hagen as my first pick when I was coming up with my roster because I thought Cory had an excellent opportunity in this fight and I think he was gonna be able to live up to his expectations and that's what happened I also picked Brunson despite my hesitation but thought his salary was good on this - Kenny versus Bermudez I didn't know what to expect Kenny was just cheap so I picked him Nate Diaz is always an excellent pick because he's got that volume and then Yusuf I thought was a guaranteed finish and it turned out to definitely be a round one finish 117 points for that Daniel Cormier scored me a lot of points - didn't get the victory the only guy that I was probably most confident in for this draftkings lineup to get a victory and he's the only one that I picked that lost so I ended up walking away with $12 the entry fee was $5 I scored 574 or 575 points putting me in 97th place but either way it was a profit so I was a lot of fun I just I just thought it was a great card and I was trying to stay in the moment and score it round my round for a lot of these fights but I just kind of said it after the Romero fight because the fights were so good at that point and I was just having a great time and I hope all you guys had an excellent time as well watching UFC 241 now we get to look forward to UFC 242 Habib and Poirier which is gonna be excellent so see you in the next video Kenan K TV says I got Pettis on points just so many openings for Pettis however Pettis is bad at taking pressure so he needs to win rounds which it is very likely he will now his pick ultimately was wrong this is a very good analysis from Kenan K TV and if you guys haven't seen his channel check it out excellent production quality good analysis and if you like this channel you'll definitely like his channel as well so go check it out give him a subscriber and tell him that I sent you
