Mookie Betts on 5th home run of the season and early success at the plate Dodgers Postgame 2024

well mookie tonight you had your 15 1500 career hit to have that experience to have that hit what does that mean to you personally uh that I've been playing a long time um but uh you know it's super cool super cool and uh I'm glad I was able to help the team win with it being a home run though you're fifth of the Season what's been the secret to your success I don't know I don't know my last couple of bats sucked so uh we got to fix that but I don't know I'm just just playing the game wanting to win know taking off myself you know I just really uh really want myself and the guys and just to win ball games you know and I think when you switch your focus to that everything seems to work out with this team you guys have now had eight consecutive games in which you've scored five or more runs how would you just describe this explosive offense that you guys have been seeing um you know it's tough to describe I just know uh you got to play 27 outs you know it doesn't matter if it's the first or the ninth you're going to have to pitch and play defense and I think that's why we're so good you we force we force you to play the game the right way the rotation has been lights out but see the bullpen be the guys tonight what did you see from them Evan films closing this one out how did you just kind of stand behind the bullpen I mean you know they're great they're great um Ys uh took down a lot of innings which was huge for us but the bullpen has been awesome all year and I mean we uh they're going they're they're going to be huge for us going down the stretch but you know just uh this whole team is complete and we just got to keep keep uh playing playing the game I know asked you this before but do you think this is the best you felt to start the season uh probably usually I start pretty slow so uh it's it's good to flip the script sometimes um but you know it's a long season got to keep it going all right well congrats on this win congrats on 1500 career hits thank you
