INTER-CAGLIARI 2-2 | HIGHLIGHTS | Cagliari claim point in four-goal thriller | Serie A 2023/24

Zitolo-Vumbo with the pace, still Zitolo-Vumbo, it had curl but not quite enough bend. Alexis Sanchez for Taram and into lead, inside a dozen minutes. Marcus Taram had been waiting a while to get back amongst the goals in Serie A. Chalonolu takes the corner, Bissek nearly met it, it almost broke the way of Alexis Sanchez, Di Marco! It's a fabulous save that from Skufet, fingertip stuff. Chalonolu strikes the effort and Skufet had to be sharp. Zitolo-Vumbo finding space, Shomorodov, Cagliari a level. This one he did connect with, thumped home by Eldor Shomorodov and Cagliari have not read the script here. Really clever ball, Di Marco and Alexis Sanchez heads it just wide. Varela with the cross, Fratezi, that's handball surely and Inter have a penalty. Chalonolu keep his cool, he can, of course he can, his penalty in Udine was the equaliser. The spot pick tonight against Cagliari is the go-ahead goal and Inter are back in front. Hatzidiakos with the cross, well attacked by Bissek to head it clear, that's Obert for Prati, Lapidula and Viola! Cagliari have done it again, his late goal saw off Atalanta and Viola the super sub, two weeks running for Cagliari. Lapidula cleverly done, Nicolas Viola, not far away. Lapidula is up against Varela, Viola in the middle if he can square it, Lapidula, Viola is there and it's straight at the goalkeeper. Inter are halted in 2024 for only the second time, full-time score at the Meazza, Inter 2, Cagliari 2.
