Today we're going to try freeze drying Peeps.
Hi I'm Kylene and I'm the Provident Prepper. So I just happened into the market the day after Easter
and found Peeps on sale for 50% off. So I thought this is a perfect time to try freeze drying them
and I didn't know how many would fit on each tray so I just bought three of each of the kinds that
they had and then because we know we love freeze dried marshmallows I decided to finish filling
the trays with some freeze dried marshmallows. So prep on this should be incredibly easy.
Just open these take these little guys out but I'm going to separate them so they have plenty
of airflow around them and have the ability to suck all the moisture out. So we'll see how this
goes. Okay we have the Peeps all lined up and on the trays. We put three packages on each tray
and we separated each of the Peeps just to allow for better airflow and then we have this one
full of marshmallows. So let's put them in the freeze dryer and see what happens. The marshmallows
they increase in size maybe just a little bit but they really turn out quite delicious.
Um now the Peeps didn't grow in size at all. Um these are really cute.
So they're really dry just like what the marshmallows do.
Okay these are actually better like this than they are as regular Peeps.
Okay so we just are putting these freeze dried Peeps and marshmallows
into an airtight container until everybody comes tomorrow for some taste tests.
Okay you guys we have freeze dried Peeps. Each one of you take one or two or three whatever
colors you want and taste them and then we'll ask each of you what you think of them. Okay
all right go. What do you think of freeze dried Peeps? Okay do you like fresh Peeps better?
I like the not freeze dried ones better. So you don't really like freeze dried Peeps. You like
them fresh. Is there anybody that doesn't like fresh but likes a freeze dried? So you like these?
What's the difference between fresh and freeze dried Peeps? Um fresh Peeps are gross
and freeze dried Peeps are yummy. And now for the question of the day. Do you like Peeps?
