How do you feel about Steph?
Because this is what I've said, and you can agree or disagree.
I said Steph has done enough in his career to where he should at least have top ten consideration.
I agree.
Not that you should just throw him in there because it's going to be tough to just squeeze
him in over some guys.
But consideration.
I mean, he deserves that at least.
Similar to how I believe Kobe deserves top ten consideration.
I don't think he's top three like some people.
No, no, no.
I don't think he's top three.
I agree.
I think I think Curry is I think Curry at me at worst, literally at worst, should receive
top ten consideration that people don't want to put him in there.
I understand, like, especially if you favor longevity.
That's understandable.
I get that point.
The problem I have with the concept of Curry, though, not like me personally, the problem
that I have with people perceive Curry is really two things a this idea of like what
a true point guard is like to me, it's like a point guard is and I understand the concept
of it.
But like the point guard position is the only position where we have this this mind state
where like they have to play a specific way.
And if they don't play that way, then everything they do has an asterisk next to it.
And then we get to then compare James Harden and Curry instead of Curry to Magic Johnson.
It's like it's not the same, but it's like, yeah, but but no other position we do this
with.
Like, I don't understand why people have they're completely fine with comparing magic to Tim
Duncan and saying that magic is over Duncan or whatever they want to say.
And they play completely different positions.
But because Curry scores more than he passes, then all of a sudden, like, it's almost like
I can't do it.
But then the second thing is like, not I was going to say the most, but LeBron is by far
the most scrutinized play like unfair, unfairly scrutinized player I've ever seen in my life.
And Giannis is like quickly becoming second.
But the kind of like comments and conversations that people have about Curry are just like
some of the most ridiculous and ludicrous things I've ever heard in my life from a player
who aided a level of evolution and influence on the game of basketball as a whole, not just from
his position, not just on his team, not just in the NBA, like the game of basketball,
the way we talk, think our perception of basketball has changed drastically.
And Curry played a huge point, a huge role in that.
The way that we speak about him, though, it's so odd to me.
And the criticism that it gets leveraged towards him is very odd.
And I think that like there's just a lot of damage that has been done to his career
that people still hang on to this day.
Like I recently uploaded a video on my main channel about how,
you know, the way that the 2015 finals MVP conversation was being had and how
like people were just like ESPN has a lower third where they are just
blanketly lying about what Matthew Dell of Adobe did defensively against Curry,
like straight up lying.
They were attributing six turnovers to Delhi when he was defending Curry.
And some of these turnovers, he wasn't even in the game,
but they're still attributing it to him just so they can push this narrative
that, oh, well, yeah, he got clamped up by Delhi.
And I've just never, I've never seen that happen to an all time great player.
And even, even heading into this year, people were like questioning, like,
I don't know, can Curry do this and that?
And I'm like, I've never, like you would have thought Curry was like 40 years old
the way they were speaking about Curry in the Warriors.
And it's like, when you go back and you look at it,
like I just remember the way people spoke about Kobe.
Kobe was in the middle of getting swept in 2011
and people still gave him the benefit of the doubt.
Kevin Durant this year was in the middle of getting swept.
They still gave him the benefit of the doubt.
LeBron, as much as I think he gets criticism,
still is at a point where he gets the benefit of the doubt.
The Warriors were on like everything pointed to this year,
being them being one of the best teams in the NBA
and never once where there's like this overwhelming unanimous sense
that they should receive the benefit of the doubt until they actually lose.
And then like we get to this point and I still hear people like
downplaying the Celtics team that had the number one ranked defense in the NBA.
Oh, they weren't really that good.
They're really not.
Curry, he didn't really have to face any real competition.
It's like, bro, y'all just, y'all gonna continue to criticize that man,
even though he's like easily one of the greatest
and one of the most influential ballplayers of all time.
I never understand it.
So yeah, those are the two things that really bother me the most
about Curry and the dialogue that we have about him.
