Los Angeles Football Club vs. New York Red Bulls _ Full Match Highlights _ April 20, 2024

In Valencia, the Spaniard playing on the right, Kei Komara will be the number nine, the target man. And Danny Buanga and Oliveira de Echarrúa, Van Zier and Lewis Morgan will be the tandem playing on top. Incredible story of it. It's Mights 05. Ah, we are ready and underway. Saturday night, under the lights at Bebo Stadium, LAFC in black. Jacques Chaux down there in Corsica, eight seasons with NYCFC. Chance here, Morgan's through. Cleans out of heels, Van Zier! And a spectacular intervention from Aaron Long, but it may have taken a toll. He's hit his knee or the shin bone. It was amazing. It was an amazing save from Aaron Long. Tough as they come. Convention update, we get one. There's the corner kick. And it's, there's the goal. They didn't get it at first, but they get it here. Sean Niles is going to claim it. The Red Bulls will come out and chuff like a cannon. Lead at 1-0, eight minutes in. I don't know if it's an own goal, but he's a perfect delivery inside of the six with a lot of confusion. And he's exactly, maybe a foul, I don't know, Max. Look at the left arm of Niles over Segura. Maybe pulling him a little bit. The video review will check this. Yeah, but it was Segura's. And there was Shano was in there too. For the second place. A little bit more of patience on the side. Five goals from Set Pieces. It's Ilyaev Sanchez who did something similar to that in the game against the Galaxy. And it's 1-0. If you don't take advantage of your opportunities, you can pay that. Buwanga in the 18, and a penalty. Danny Buwanga kept going at it and he finally gets the payoff. It looks like there's contact, but Danny Buwanga. Oh yeah, to me, it's a clear penalty kick. It's a clear foul inside of the box. Yeah, Sean Niles is coming. After review, there is a foul committed by yellow number 15. The final decision is penalty, I'm first. Danny Buwanga, perfect for penalties. Five for five in his LAFC days. We get six in the 67th. Buwanga! Tucks it away. He worked hard for that. Won the penalty and converted. His fourth of the season, it's 1-1. Spotless execution by Danny Buwanga. Technique, pace, power, everything. Here's the execution with confidence, composure, inside of the right foot. Coronel can't do much. The ball, touching the back of the net and getting the equalizer. What a game. What a win we have, Max. And it's just the beginning of it. Oh yes, the fun thickens now. LAFC, their third penalty, because of all three converted by Danny Buwanga. Who wants more? Buwanga into the teeth of the Red Bulls. What a save. What a save by Coronel. Opportunity now for LAFC. Just like last week, late bringing in the substitutions here. So Sandro Schwarz, corner kick, trying to get it to Tillman. Sergi Palencia thought about it, kept it low! Found a sight line somehow. 2024, his first season with the Red Bulls. And he's found his way through. Yegor's cross in for Lewis Morgan! John Tolkien to take. You've seen some training ground deliveries off these set pieces too. This is a little more direct. Tolkien gets it in. Oh, Forsberg! Onside! Smashes it home in the 81st minute. The Red Bulls take the lead against the run of play. And again, off a corner kick. Great delivery in Swinger. Complicated ball, you were mentioning it, Max. Set piece, it has been an issue for both teams throughout the whole night. It's Ilya Sanchez not being able to clear that one. And an easy tap in for Emil Forsberg. He's by himself, nobody's marking him. With his quality, he's gonna put in the back of the net that ball, he did it. And now the Red Bulls are leading two to one. Second goal of the season to go with two assists for Senor Red Bull. Sergi Palencia, his cross for Chanel. Hollingshead, Bogus, Hollingshead, Mueller. Drives it in near post and he hits the post! Sanchez will get number eight. Set pieces, set pieces, Max, set pieces. Corner kicks in particular. They go short. Tillman, space for Sergi Palencia. Numbers in there in black. Looking for Chanel, jumping up Mueller. He's been a handful. Buanga! From a penalty, Sanzani! We were talking about set pieces and this coming off a set piece. Danny Buanga with time and space. He fades, he fades, he goes to the right foot. The strong foot of the number 99. There's a deflection. Precious points, which still would be great business. But here you go, Edelman over the top. Yangor crosses it in. Elias Manuel! To his left foot! Oh, what a ball! Harvard! Thank you for this game because look at this. What a way to finish the game. Elias Manuel with a little bit of Capoeira cutting, putting the ball in the left foot. Buanga defending, drives it away. We're into the ninth minutes. A look at the watch for Guido Gonzalez. We asked for more time. Oh, wow! We won't be getting it. Wow! Wow.
