The motorcycle ride continues in this motovlog down the west coast of the South Island. Alp and I check out Hokitika gorge where the milkiest of blue water flows. After, our travels take us to the beach near Ross and rode next to the roaring ocean waves. At the end of the day the sunset said goodbye to me and the motorbike just before arriving in HariHari. No ride 'n talk in this motorcycle vlog but ride compilation of the day.
Beautiful sunny day here and we're going out on the west coast. I'm going to visit
some suspension bridge over the water. See I always know so well where I'm going
and hopefully get to Franzi, how they say it, lovingly out here. Yeah dog? Yeah.
Ready to go.
Awesome that's how it goes. Yep.
Oh man. Take care. Safe travels. I'll see you around man. Yeah yeah.
Ellen. What's up boy? Thanks again.
Tightening the chain. I got distracted by something. I was checking on the phone.
I had a couple of times where I actually just rode on without adjusting the bolt
for over 100kms once. Ah sorry buddy. Yeah I just hit a bird just after I turned off the camera.
It's the second bird I hit in New Zealand. He might be alive. Hey buddy. Okay. You all right?
Wow. He might be fine. He doesn't look too good but he's walking. You gonna be all right buddy?
All right. You look like you just need some rest. Just relax all right? Sorry.
All these birds they play it loose sometimes man. Start flying in a straight line in front of you.
So to that way. Yeah. Yeah. Is that still lakeside or is it away from the lake?
Now the lake's back there. Yep. Back there now. So I went around the lake and I found my way to
Hokitika Gorge. What's the place called? Um I don't know. Something gorge. Hokitiki? Hokitika?
Hokitika Gorge. Hokitika. The place. Suspension bridge. The bridge. They say it's nice. The
swing bridge. Oh this is going to be the steadiest film ever so far on this whole journey. Hannah.
Hannah. I'm doing pretty good. You do a lot of this filming work usually of strangers? Um you know
it comes in a little neat way. So it's a beautiful gorge and today I've gone pro. Got myself a
camera woman and a backup. There's my backup feed going. And I've ridden around the lake today. It
was really nice there. I was looking for this place but I couldn't find it. Turns out it's all
the way here next to all these mountains. You gotta see what kind of setup I have going on.
So yeah let's go check out that gorge. You're getting the hang of this pretty well actually.
Around the bend. See look at this. These girls have figured it out.
They figured it out. Wow this is awesome. It's beautiful.
We're standing on a bridge now. The gorge. Look at that water.
Beautiful place here. Horrible flies that bite. These must be, is this what they call sand flies?
They're fun. Look at this place.
