uh the viewer asks is it still true that
Jefferson County and sometimes
County are the only two counties that
don't receive at least what they have
paid in state tax dollars if that's
still the case why do the Republicans
Rail and complain about quote socialism
when their counties are the biggest res
recipients and benefactors of quote
socialist spending end quote I'll toss
it here representative po you want to
take a St at that one well I'm in a
rural part of the state and uh everybody
has a voice um I'm not sure totally
dollarss going to Louisville socialism
when are the only two Community safe so
a pivot now to this question from
Lexington uh the viewer asks is it still
true that Jefferson County and sometimes
fet County are the only two counties
that don't receive at least what they
have paid in state tax dollars if that's
still the case why do the Republicans
Rail and complain about quote socialism
when their counties are the biggest re
recipients and benefactors of quote
socialist space end quote I'll toss it
here representative po you want to take
a St at that one well I'm in a rural
part of the state and uh everybody has a
voice um I'm not sure uh totally dollars
going to Louisville lexon let's look
let's be honest I mean Louisville and
Lexington are the powerhouses of income
and everything involved bringing dollars
in overall but as a whole I think um
again the um our um budget and things of
that sort how our tax dollars are being
spent is the overall picture of the
Commonwealth and whether it looks like
taking care of the Eastern Kentucky
flood whether it's taking care of a
tornado coming across whether it's a
state income tax lowering down to
generate people coming to the state of
Kentucky to do business uh to live and
that's happening so overall I think
we're seeing a lot of good things in
that area um and um and we'll just see
again like Senator wheeler was saying we
have have to take action and look at
things and then adjust accordingly we
talk about House Bill 5 I want to go
back there but I'm interested to hear
from the business owner that's downtown
Louisville that is being affected by all
the crime and things that are going on
and it's just uh those are some things
again we have to take step is it an
absolute perfect Bill I'm not going to
say it is but uh it's something to start
on and stand strong on again that
particular bill is against violent crime
the jackers the rapists the attempted
murder people uh I'm going to give a
shout out to my Jailer uh Barry Brady
who is providing programs for his
inmates who are getting close to getting
out and putting them in the workforce
those are type of programs that we need
to do and provide and fund and help and
doing what it takes to to make sure that
these people have the tools the
resources not to go back to uh got them
here in the first place the state
actually provide that kind of funding to
I tell you I I I hope so I mean that
we've got to do something cuz like the
senator said we're we're got everybody
incarcerated we've got to decide what
we're doing and how we're doing things
and that's one of the great ways and I I
I applaud uh mayor uh Brady there to do
some of those things and there's other
jails that are going across the state
that's providing that opportunity
