This is day #2 of my Black Forest & Vosges Tour in May 2019 and I was making my way from the Odenwald to the Black Forest to meet Torqueter (see YouTube Channel link below). We both share the passion for motorcycles and got to know each other through YouTube - this was our first face-to-face meeting. We spent the better part of the day on his deck just talking and went out for a rather speedy ride through his home turf the Black Forest. Torqueter: Thank you for an unforgetable time in the Black Forest! Like the video? Leave a thumbs up or a comment. Subscribe if you like to see upcoming videos.
Second day of riding today. I'm still in the Odenwald. The bike is packed. I haven't had breakfast yet, but it's coming soon.
And then it's about 320 kilometers to the Schwarzwald. There I meet up halfway with Torquetier.
He also has a YouTube channel. We have exchanged regularly over the last few weeks and months, I have to say.
It's his home territory and he shows me a few of his favorite routes into the Schwarzwald.
I'm looking forward to it. Then I'll meet up with Thomas this evening and we'll ride together for the next five days to the Schwarzwald and the Burgesen.
Briefly about my luggage solution. There were some questions about how I pack my luggage.
So I'll show you how it works for me. I only have soft luggage here.
What's on the back is a 50 liter bag that I once bought from Polo. One of the very first, which Harley has already used.
And after I tried this with the suitcases and a little more expensive soft luggage, I ended up with this cheap solution again, which is actually only attached via rubber straps.
What you can see at the front is a small rear bag. I can also put it on the back separately.
From Enduristan. Both things are waterproof. The small bag contains tools, a pan kit.
And then I have a fuel bag at the front. It's a BMW thing. I already had it on the GS.
It's one of the few, if not the only, fuel bag with 8 liters in size. So very small.
I converted it to a quick release. That's it for the luggage. Now it's time to saddle up and the tour goes towards Schwarzwald.
I got a tip to drive to Hirschhorn to take a look at the castle of Hirschhorn, which you can see in the background.
It's rather far in the background. And I just noticed that they have a bit of a flood problem here at the Neckar.
And you can drive along the street. So I'm going to go out a little earlier to a parking lot and get the drone out.
Let's see if I can get some good shots.
Looking wild, and looking down, and looking for me.
That was awesome.
I'm going to make it out alive.
Just like the way it hurts.
You know that.
I'm going to make it out alive.
Just like the way it hurts.
Where the fire burns.
We are here in the middle of the Schwarzwald.
It's called Seehainersgarten.
Apparently there is a motorcycle show going on here.
You can see the mopeds in the background.
We're going to do another round through the Schwarzwald.
It's around 6 p.m. now.
We just took a short break and took a look around the area.
We're about to go to the nice KTMs.
And then we're going to do another nice round through the Schwarzwald.
Just like the way it hurts.
Where the fire burns.
Hello, my name is Cloud.
