Hey everyone, welcome back to my channel. My name is Anna, in case you didn't know,
and today I am going to be going through some tips on how to dress more cottagecore.
A lot of the time I get asked, how do I dress more cottagecore? How do I start dressing
cottagecore? So I thought I would throw together some helpful tips on how you can transform
basically any outfit into a more cottagecore look. How many times am I going to say more
cottagecore in this video? I'm so sorry. I think there is a tip here for everyone,
I've got eight different ways to show you, so let's get on with it. Tip number one,
swap pants for overalls. Let's say you're wearing a shirt and some jeans. I think it ends up looking
way more cottagecore if you take that shirt and jeans and swap it to a shirt and overalls.
The simple swap makes an outfit so much more cottagecore, makes you feel like you're gardening
or farming. I think it's great. Also, you can store little things in your pocket, so yes please.
Tip number two, add a kerchief. Basically, any outfit you are wearing, you can add a scarf or
kerchief on your head and you will look ten times more cottagecore, I swear. See here, I am wearing
a really cute floral dress and it looks okay cottagecore-level-y. What? The outfit is not
really that cottagecore until I add a kerchief and now I feel like I am running through the fields,
it is lovely and it really does tie it all together into a more cottagecore style. Tip
number three, add a corset or pair of stays. So maybe your outfit is already fairly cottagecore,
you're not really feeling super cute. Maybe you're feeling a little frumpy or you're feeling
a little bit too grandma for your own personal liking. Well, that is when you add a corset or
pair of stays and it really gives it that oomph. You feel sexy, you feel good, but I think it really
does make a difference, so I would absolutely recommend a corset or pair of stays. Tip number
four, layer a shirt underneath. A really easy way to take a dress from a regular outfit to a more
cottagecore outfit is to layer a shirt underneath. I think that this looks so sweet. The puffier the
sleeves, the better. I think that really adds some dimension to the outfit, it makes it a little bit
more interesting and gives it that cottagecore spin. Tip number five, puff-sleeved shirts.
Similar to the previous tip, adding a puff-sleeved shirt instead of any other shirt will make your
outfit look more cottagecore. See, this outfit goes from French chic to cottagecore chic instead.
If you want to enhance that even more, we go to the next tip. Tip number six, add a straw hat.
Just like it sounds, add a straw hat. Getting an extra layer of sun protection, plus you're looking
so cute. You can wear it on your head like so, or around your neck like this, and both honestly I
think make an outfit look way more cottagecore than before. Even if you're just carrying it around,
it looks more cottagecore. How is that possible? I don't know, but it does, so works for me. I think
it'll work for you. Tip number seven, baskets. This tip is a little less practical, but it really makes
a difference, and that is swapping out your backpack or purse for a basket. Now this would be a great
idea if you were going to the farmer's market, or maybe to a picnic, or the beach. You can get away
with a lot of this. Maybe not if you're like going to school, but do what you want. I think this makes
an outfit way more romantic, even if it's just paired with jeans like so. Less practical, but very
cute. Tip number eight, put flowers in your hair. Add flowers in your hair, or behind your ear.
Add a flower crown, whatever it may be. Flowers are basically everywhere in the world. That is a very
easy way to feel one with nature. In turn, more cottagecore. Thank you all so much for watching.
Let me know what your favorite tip was down in the comments below, and I will see you next time. Bye!
