This is day #6 of my Black Forest & Vosges Tour in May 2019 and day 2 of 2 in the southern Vosges. As you can cover the southern Vosges is pretty much a single day of riding we did almost the exact same tour just in reverse on day 2. Even though you end up in many of he places that we saw the day before the ride is almost a completly new experience. Some of the highlights were: route des cretes, route des ballons d'alsace, col de la schlucht, Le Grand Ballon Like the video? Leave a thumbs up or a comment. Then I can tell you about the tour.
Today we're planning 370 km.
370 km is the short tour today, isn't it?
400 km is a bit much, isn't it?
It doesn't sound like much, but in the end it will be a lot.
The loop is planned somewhere in the middle.
So let's do 370 km, that's enough.
So 370 km through the villages, today in the other direction.
Birthdays and non-birthdays.
Once a year.
The same places as yesterday.
I've been killed by myself.
So scared to create a scene.
Bye bye baby, I'm going away.
You say it's real.
What am I meant to think?
It's like a cage, wrapped around my brain.
You seem to have the key.
The balloon elevator just went up.
Speeded up, so to speak.
We have to get up there ourselves.
We can do that right now.
Coffee? Cappuccino and water.
Cool blonde.
Cool blonde, alright.
Cappuccino.
I don't know what to say, but what do they know?
I kept it all so hidden in me, oh.
If you try.
Maximum.
You said 26?
Yes, 26.
I think I'll have the lamp on quickly today.
We were back earlier, we have to drive more.
Then we'll get up longer.
Then we'll stay awake longer and drink more.
That's the difference.
That's why it's better to arrive at 10 and then only drink 2-3 beers.
Cheers.
The last day in the southern Vosges is over today.
We were back in the hotel today.
We were on the road pretty quickly, we took a few breaks.
We drove a lot.
And tomorrow is the last day.
We drive through the northern Vosges and then back to Germany.
A little further north, so that we don't have that far for the home trip day in the end.
Tomorrow will be the last official driving day for us.
And then the short tour is over.
It went faster than you think.
The first few days everything was fine.
And when you have crossed the middle, the time has passed quickly.
It was fun, it stayed dry today.
It was not entirely predictable whether we would have a little rain in the northern Vosges as well.
But we were lucky and the temperatures were perfect.
Something between 17 and 20 degrees today.
Less sun than yesterday.
A cloudy sky.
But it was perfect for driving.
And because it was Monday today, there wasn't much going on.
Yesterday there were still a lot of motorcyclists, who were probably on vacation on the weekend.
And today we had the road almost to ourselves.
It's actually a little more interesting.
You can drive well.
I don't have to worry that the police are standing somewhere in every corner.
And someone pulls out.
We saw policemen yesterday.
They were standing in the forest with a radar gun.
Fortunately, we were driving slowly at that point.
But at other places it would have probably become more expensive.
In this respect, it's good.
There is little going on here.
It has to be.
We are great.
In principle, we drove the same tour as yesterday today.
Only that we drove completely different.
It's often the case when you go on tour, that you only drive the passes in one direction.
Although the other side may be just as exciting.
And the southern Vosges can be driven almost completely in one day.
So we just did the second tour in the opposite direction.
And that was good.
I already knew that last year.
And that's about 90% of the routes I drove last year.
A little shorter.
I think we drove 370-380 kilometers today.
I think I drove about 500 kilometers a day in September.
So a little more.
Because I didn't take any big breaks.
Then you can drive a little more.
So there will be food soon.
And then we pack our things.
And then we go on tour again tomorrow with full luggage.
And back to Germany.
