Another special day because we are picking up the other motorcycles at the Valparaiso cargo depot! After back and forths for documentation in Santiago and Valparaiso, including clearing the motorbikes with customs, they are ready for pickup. At the cargo depot we have to wait a few hours before we can remove the motorcycles from the transport crate. Connected the batteries and the Transalps were good to go. The cargo manager cleared the motorcycles and after they were good to go on the road. South America now three Transalps richer on the road. For my friends it was a great relief to finally have their bikes back on the road again. The have successfully shipped their motorcycles to valparaiso by boat.
Today is a special day, Tim, isn't it?
It is.
Are you ready?
Finally, we're going to see her again.
This morning's theme song.
Today's the day that these guys will have their bikes too.
Not bad.
Those potholes.
The length of a wheel.
The guys are probably here already.
They're Uber.
They've dropped off their paperwork.
Their IDs and what not.
And their motorcycle paperwork.
And now they're going to cook up the documents that will give you guys
temporary import status for your bikes.
And it will be free and easy.
Thank you, Chili.
I know that he's also Uber now.
We got the documents.
Now we can pick up the bike.
Last phase.
Analyzing the paperwork.
Inspection can be done pretty soon today.
But you can't pay with cards.
So you might need to pop out and get some cash.
The room of being.
Fast forward at least a couple of hours of waiting.
And we're off to see the inspector.
We're ready to go in.
We're starting our shift.
We're going to open the door and go inside.
There's your bike, Jim.
It's very good.
And yours, Tim.
It's very healthy.
Nice and spacious in here.
Nice and snug.
Oh, not at all.
That's one.
Can I have some air?
Gracias, hombres.
Buena.
That's one.
We hooked up the batteries of Jim's bike.
Here we are.
Jim and Tim's bikes.
That's free Transalps in South America now.
And we are representing the Dutch Transalp Club unofficially.
They are finishing up.
Packing it up.
And then we are going to show them off to the inspector.
And he is going to green light it.
And then we should be good to go.
Jim still has foot pegs like a normal person.
Have I ever been on the back with you, Jim?
I don't think so.
Maybe not on my bike.
Oh, here we go.
Ciao.
Show me the way, Jim.
Si, será.
Okay, okay.
Ah, de nuevo, sí.
Cristian Guerrero.
Sí.
Nosotros no nos vemos, ya no?
No, ya estamos listos.
Muchas gracias.
Que les vaya bien.
Mucho gusto.
Para que le hagan despacho y todo.
Señor lo va a llamar de cualquier manera.
Alright, the guys need to pay.
But they don't have credit card units here.
So they have to go into the town and get some money from the ATM.
Ciao.
Hola.
Nice. Thanks, man.
Wow, man, I'm happy.
What's up, guys?
I'm so happy.
You ready?
We can also go back to the village where I pimped.
Five kilometers from here you have a guaranteed gas station.
Okay.
Do that, okay?
Lead the way.
And your tire is still pretty weak in the back.
So watch out in the corners.
Let's go.
Hello.
We're enriching the neighborhood with Transalps.
So another day spent at a port sorting out this sort of business.
But this should be it.
We're in.
We're here.
So let us know what you think of that in the comments.
What do you think about more Transalps added to the trip?
Like and subscribe if you haven't already.
And see you guys again soon enough.
Prost.
