FYL sports man is Lamont and we are back with another podcast episode.
Man salutes y'all in the chat for pulling up today. Hey man,
today is a crazy day.
NBA trade deadline has approached us and man I'm talking about it didn't let us
down. It did not let us down. Um,
I tried to tell people yesterday I said, man,
I definitely heard James Harden was going to get traded today and you know,
a few more pieces were added to the puzzle to make it work.
James Harden blockbuster deal is now finalized.
James Harden is a 76 year with the 76 years along with Seth Curry,
Andre Drummond, Paul Millsap,
who also was disgruntled in his role over in Brooklyn.
He has moved on as well. He is now with the Philadelphia 76 years as well.
We're going to be bringing everybody into the live panel today to talk about this
particular trade and all of the other moves of the day.
All of the other moves of the day.
We saw the Washington wizards extremely active today.
Moving divers pertains Spencer Dinwiddie. Um,
just all types of players. I mean, again,
we got to talk about all of these moves. Christopher Zingers.
I think that's probably one of the biggest surprise moves of the day. I mean,
who would have thought with the way he was playing?
Obviously he was dealing with multiple injuries this year for separate injuries
this year.
I think the Dallas Mavericks are just kind of getting frustrated with his
injury track record. But Christopher Zingers now with the Washington wizards,
lot of teams are reshaping their rosters.
We saw the Phoenix suns active today,
trading their young players to bring in vets.
It looks like the Phoenix suns are really, um,
really filling out that roster to make sure they're ready for anyone and
anything. Looking forward to a deep playoff run.
We got to talk about the Phoenix suns as well.
Some of the moves they did bringing in Aaron holiday and Tory Craig trading away
the young fella, um, sending him out.
I mean just moves all over the place to trade deadline this year did not let us
down. And I was telling people, I was telling people,
it's just been way too quiet. It's been so quiet. You know what?
The quietest team of the day was probably the team with the biggest questions.
It was the Los Angeles Lakers, the Lakers quietest team of the day.
What's going on over there? Well, again,
I dropped a video for you guys last week explaining to many of the Laker fans,
Russell Westbrook was not going to get traded. Get it through your heads.
It doesn't make sense for other teams. It doesn't make sense for the Lakers.
They don't have the pieces they don't have. They don't have the, you know,
they don't have the assets to give teams to take on that type of contract.
Russell Westbrook has the option to opt in for almost $50 million next year.
What team is going to take on that particular salary?
Obviously we know the Lakers are stuck with it right there, man. So again,
today's show, man,
we're going to be bringing everybody in individually on the live panel to
discuss all of today's trades, man. I need y'all thoughts, man. Y'all see the,
I'm putting a poll in the chat right now.
I'm actually about to put this poll in the chat right now. Um,
who won the day? Who won the day?
What team improved themselves so much so that we can now say that they are
legit championship contenders.
And then even when you go to the young teams out of the league,
what young teams,
what young teams were able to make moves to kind of elevate themselves?
A team that a lot of people were talking about, the Memphis Grizzlies.
We thought the Memphis Grizzlies were going to make a few moves,
especially with the Dylan Brooks injury. They held firm,
stayed pat with what they had. Looks like they're going to be pretty solid.
Hold on one second. Y'all hold on. Y'all got somebody blowing up.
Can't answer that right now. So again,
a lot of trades going on today. A lot of trade news. Hold on one second,
man. This is big chess. This is big chess. Hold on. Let me answer this show.
FYF sports. Take FYF Fred. Russell Westbrook wasn't traded.
We need you now. Laker fans are going crazy.
All right. I'm on it. Hey, sorry. Y'all give me one minute.
Me and FYF Fred got to go handle some business real quick.
We'll be right back here in one second. FYF Fred, we got to go.
It's morphing time.
