Sorry that we didn't catch you guys earlier.
We were both pretty emotional with all saying goodbye to family and friends.
It was a little bit of a gloomy day, also very windy, but an amazing evening.
And we're gonna look for a wild camping spot here in the dunes.
So yeah, let's check it out.
I wonder if it's gonna rain tonight.
We have to pitch the tent pretty tight, I guess, because the wind is just crazy today.
But it's like super beautiful.
Look behind me, everywhere around me there are these really big cloud formations.
They're super dark.
So I hope it will stay dry tonight.
All right, we've found this great spot here in the dunes.
It's starting to rain, so we're gonna put up the tent fast and then we're gonna get in.
And hopefully the rain is not too bad.
It's our new tent and it's a new little home.
Cool stuff.
Okay, the rain is starting to pick up.
So I'm gonna put you guys down and see you a little later.
Whoa, this wind is so chaotic.
Morning.
How are you?
No good sleep at all.
So a little grumpy.
So you're grumpy?
Do I need to watch out today?
Oh man, I'm in for it today.
Morning guys, I just wanted to quickly show you these plants over here.
They're all over here in the dunes.
It's called seabuckthorn.
My father once showed them and they have all these orange little berries.
They are super sour.
I really like the taste, but it's definitely an acquired taste.
You can also buy it in the store.
They put a lot of sugar in there and I think that's a shame.
Because the real taste of the seabuckthorn is so interesting.
Yeah, I like it just straight up.
It's super sour, but it's so delicious.
And it's supposed to be really healthy.
A lot of vitamin C.
Do you want to try some seabuckthorn?
Oh, yeah.
All right.
Oh, it's sour.
But it's delicious in a way.
Kind of like rotting, uh, pineapple.
No, not pineapple, uh, orange.
Yeah, rotting orange.
That doesn't sound very appetizing.
It doesn't.
But you have to mix it with water or something.
So today is the third day on our trip.
I have to say it's still so much different than at home.
Being outside all the day, wind around your head.
And there has been a lot of wind these past few days.
Rain on and off.
It's now raining actually.
And it's really getting used to again.
We have to put on the jackets and then it's too warm on the bikes.
And then we have to get it off again.
Rain jacket on, off.
Short pants on, off.
That kind of stuff.
Oh, ----.
Now it's coming down.
So we just took a dip at this beautiful location.
And, uh, we had a little swim.
It was pretty cold.
But, uh, we feel clean again.
That's great.
So, um, yeah.
It's quite interesting that you always kind of feel like you have to go to a foreign country
to find an amazing spot.
But actually here in the Netherlands, it's so beautiful.
We decided to collect some, can you see it over there?
Some rubbish.
Yeah, just to make it a little bit better.
Um, it's just a small part, but what you can do, you can do right.
So, uh, it's amazing.
We're just hopping on the bikes again and enjoy the day.
Yeah, it's absolutely great to be back on the bikes again.
And what's really interesting is that you can feel your body work in a different way.
At home, you're doing your regular things and, uh, do a little bit of running and
do a little bit of exercise.
But being out and about and crawling in and out of the tent and
cycling and making different movements with your body.
Yeah, you can really feel that you use other muscles.
So I'm a little sore now and, uh, getting into the groove of things.
So feeling my body getting stronger already.
So that's a good feeling.
Oh, where do I need to go now?
Go in here.
Is this okay?
So yeah, a good way to exercise the body.
And, uh, man can recommend it to everybody, I think.
So in this time of the year, the heather is in full bloom.
It has this really beautiful color purple.
And you can find these big heather fields all over the Netherlands.
It really attracts a lot of, uh, Dutch tourists, but also foreign tourists.
It's such a delight to see.
And it also attracts a lot of bees.
In the past, they used to place these man-made, um, like beehives in between the heather.
Because the nectar is really sweet.
It creates this really sweet honey.
And you can find it all over the stores here in the Netherlands.
You can actually also make tea of the flowers.
And it also is supposed to have a lot of medicinal, um, qualities.
It's just always an amazing time of the year when the heather is out.
All right, hi guys.
Today we're gonna make a pasta at the side of this cornfield.
We had a beautiful ride today.
And tomorrow we're gonna go to Belgium.
We're actually really close now.
On our way to the south of Europe.
And today we're gonna eat some pasta here.
A lot of vegetables.
And I think we have penne.
Ultimate pasta today.
And I'm gonna top it off with some nice fresh cherry tomatoes and some woods onion.
What's it called?
Spring onions.
That's what it's called.
Yeah, and then we're gonna find a place to sleep out here in the woods.
Looking promising.
And I've also experienced the chimneys to get to know myself better.
And, yeah, so I do like trekking.
Thank you for sharing.
You're welcome.
And thank you for pouring over our pasta.
Yeah, look.
This is just great.
Because, maybe another tip.
What, what you cooked it with.
If you have a little bit, you can drink it yourself like this.
It's very healthy.
And if you want it a little bit hearty, you add a little bit of broth.
All right, we finished our pasta.
And Willy helped us with the pouring of the water.
Such an inspiring man with a lot of wisdom in his heart.
And he shared that with us.
And we're gonna eat this meal.
And Willy, if you're watching, we'd like to thank you for sharing your wisdom with us.
And we hope to see you again.
So I just quickly wanted to check in here.
And thank you from the both of us for still being here on our channel.
It has been an amazing few years.
We just started our second trip.
And kind of reflecting on the past few years.
And our channel Wheels2Wonder, it has been such a project.
And it really fulfills us.
Especially all the wonderful comments and messages we've received.
This is like the best part, really.
We love to read them.
We also want to thank the support we received on PayPal and Patreon.
We really appreciate it.
It really helps out with some financial support.
So yeah, we're super grateful for everything.
And please understand that we do read all the messages.
But with the growth of our channel, it is getting more difficult to keep up with everything.
And also to respond in a timely manner.
So I'm really sorry if you haven't received any comments back.
But thanks for understanding.
And yeah, let's get back on the road.
