RAYO VALLECANO 2 - 1 GRANADA CF | RESUMEN LALIGA EA SPORTS | J36
To find a win. What they still don't have here in this 23-24 season is a victory on the road.
That can change today if they can find a way against a very stubborn Rayo.
Rayo have been struggling to score themselves and it is this...
Here is Issy Palazón. Always the creator and his shot sails wide.
It's a high boot. A dangerous one from Trejo.
Position. There's a decent chance that you can get punished for it.
We are no more than five minutes in and Oscar Trejo is hitting the showers early.
...for Granada as well.
In by Gumbau. Headed just wide.
Issy again. Right back to him.
And back into the mixer. Low and it's not quite cleared and it's pushed over the line by Florian Lejeune.
In acrobatic style. Down a man. They're bossing this game.
Rayo have a goal.
...find themselves down two very quickly if they're not careful.
Issy Palazón is on the run and Martínez is there to say no.
Try it again.
Dmitriyevsky with the punch. It comes back out to the top of the box in that shot.
Take it away. And here comes Álvaro García.
Strike it 2-0. Álvaro García around the keeper and into the side netting.
Surely that would have put it away.
There's got to be a second one in there somewhere.
Is it here? Is it García? It is.
It's De Frutos. He came in, got the deflection and that is your happy 2-0.
There's too many defenders back. Espino keeps it alive.
De Frutos will finish the play.
And the flag did come up moments.
He helps it on again although it's popped back in by Enteka.
Poorly done and Granada will get one back.
2-0 will not be the final result.
Lucas Boye takes advantage of the mistake.
And it gets José Ramón Sandoval off of his seat.
Enteka has made this mistake here though in Vallecas.
And although it's not official just yet,
Rayo Vallecano take one massive leap towards salvation.
Granada continue their struggles down the stretch of the season.
But this victory for Rayo all but assures their survival.
