Solo camping adventure at stamp falls

Hey! Okay, so today we are at Stamp Falls. We're at Stamp Falls for two nights. The mosquitoes are massive. They're like giant pterodactyls, but I have a nice little site. I didn't get a riverside site because they're booked, but I'll show you the site. It's pretty sweet, so I'm just gonna get set to get set up, which was nice. I'm just having a coffee, which is mostly whipped cream. Yeah, I like it that way. So there's no cell service at these sites. So before I came down here, I said to my kids, I texted them all and said, I love you. I'm just gonna be gone for two nights with likely no cell service. So a big thanks to Badgin Elle. They know that the kids are home, so if they need anything, they can always call them. But I mean, my kids are like 20 and 18 and almost 16. So my one daughter mostly lives in the city, so she doesn't live at home. And my other, my oldest daughter is just home from school. So they're pretty independent already and I am learning to let go. It's so nice though. It's pretty fast moving right here, but I bet up around the bend it would be I'm getting so much better at putting those rods in. The breeze is so nice. I might have a nap. I haven't done anything today, but I might still have a nap. I don't know if I showed you, but this has a sunroof. That's the view from my bed. Not a bad view at all. I'll take it. I think this trip is going to give me a chance to finish my book too because there's no cell service, so I won't have any distractions that way. And yeah, I'll just finish my book because I'm not allowing myself to buy another book until I finish this book. And it's a bit of a slower read for me. It's a tough go. It's not as exciting as I thought it would be. So anyway, regardless, I'm going to finish it. Yeah, I'm going to finish setting up the tent and then I'm going to go read. Okay, for dinner I'm going to use my spiralizer and do zucchini noodles with ground beef and a rosé sauce. You guys, this is one of my favorite meals. Zucchini spaghetti with meat sauce and tons of parmesan. It's pretty delicious. but it was the perfect amount to finish reading my book. So now I have to figure out what I'm going to do tomorrow night. I have one more night here and I finished my book. Anyway, that just means I can go find another book to read. But for now, put that one away. I'll probably end up donating it. Out here there's a lot of like those little free libraries of books. So I'll probably put it in one of those or see if my stern law wants it because they have quite a nice library of books at their house. So yeah, I'm gonna do that. But now I'm gonna get ready for bed, brush my teeth, do all the things. Okay, everything is tidied up and my teeth are brushed. I'm just gonna run to the washroom and then I guess I'm gonna go to bed. I changed my mind and I'm going for a walk, but some of these sights are so nice. The big trees. I'm trying to remember where I was last time. I remember where I camped, but I thought there was another trail that I took. Anyway, I will figure it out. Look at how beautiful. Okay, I remember now the other trail is further down the road. Okay, I'm all tucked into bed. It's actually really cozy out right now. It's a little bit chilly, but perfect to sleep in. I can hear the river. It's so lovely. I can also just make out that the neighbors are playing the hockey game, but I can't understand what the score is. So that is bugging me because I really do want to know what the score is. But anyway, I'm gonna show you around the tent. Okay, I'm usually always hanging my keys up and I keep my wallet up here so it's all together so I won't lock myself out of the jeep because that's one of my biggest fears when I'm traveling. So yeah, I want to always keep track of my keys. There's everything else though. So pretty cozy. I have one bar of cell service at certain spots in the campsite so I've been able to at least like check on the kiddos and then I can see the conversations that their dad is having with them, which is good because we have one big group chat. So I can't necessarily send messages, but I can see that they're all okay and everybody's doing fine. So that makes me feel really good. The one thing I always worry about is, is everybody okay? So anyway, they're good so I can sleep comfortably and I think I'm just gonna go off to bed. So I will see you guys tomorrow. You know what? On second thought, I think I'm gonna end the video here and tomorrow I hopefully will get to go on a hike if it's not raining. Pardon me. Oh my god, I'm so sorry. So I'll end this video here. I hope wherever you are in this world you can get out and enjoy some of this beautiful world that we live in. Life is definitely too short so take advantage of it while you can and enjoy it.
