Minna-san, konnichiwa.
Welcome to the series, What You Think of.
I'm the founder of the Apple Studio,
and the host of the series, What You Think of.
You can call me Apple.
So, what I want to share with you today is
a few common phrases you'll use when you go to a bar.
Of course, there are a lot of phrases you'll use.
Here are a few of them,
so that you can practice.
The first one is when you order a meal.
You can use this phrase when you order a meal.
Sumimasen, chūmō onegaishimasu.
The chūmō here means to order a meal.
On the way, we might find that
I want to drink water, but my water cup is empty.
So, I want to tell the waiter,
when you say, please give me water,
how should I express this phrase?
Actually, in the first episode,
we learned how to say water.
You say, mizu,
but in the bar,
you don't use mizu to call the waiter.
If you want to order water,
you say, ohiya kudasai.
If you go to Japan often,
you will find that the water in the restaurant
is filled with ice cubes.
I personally don't like so many ice cubes.
So, when I ask for water,
I will say, please help me get rid of the ice.
kōori nashi de.
Next, it's time to pay.
If I want to pay,
I will use the phrase,
okaikei.
But in the bar,
there is another way to say it.
oaisō onegai shimasu.
Of course,
okaikei onegai shimasu.
oaisō onegai shimasu.
sumimasen, chūmō onegai shimasu.
sumimasen, ohiya kudasai.
sumimasen, oaisō onegai shimasu.
That's all for today.
If you have any questions,
please leave a comment.
See you next time.
Bye-bye.
Thank you for watching.
