Manchester City vs Manchester United|Man City vs Man United All Goals & Highlight-FA Cup 2024

Good afternoon everyone. With this being the first FA Cup final since his passing it would be greatly remiss of me not to make a nod to the memory of John Knotson. For more than one generation he was the voice of this great day. He covered 29 of them and Salford Bourne, he would have been in his element for this. The first ever to be contested by the two giants of Manchester football. The blue against the red of Manchester and there's a good try. Oh incredible. A spark, the effort. Breiner delivers and that's heading goalwards and only just wide. That was absolutely motionless. Planted past the post by Rodri. Well he's had two attempts on his goal. Here's Grealish. He's lining up the shot over on hand. He's in at Brentford last weekend. The only defeat that City have suffered in their last 26 matches but they weren't exactly playing in top gear. There's Gondouan and there's Haaland. And he has a goal. Wasn't far away from dipping under. There's a moment there where Casemiro is looking at De Gea and saying just give me the ball on the edge of the box. He wants the responsibility and then he plays a really weak kind of flow. Casemiro. Rashford with the delicate header. Needed a little bit more on it. They've been doing numbers to score from there. Marcus Rashford. Ronaldo Silva finds him again. De Bruyne's shot. Covered but it did not miss by much. No he didn't. The recommendation from David Koop the VAR. I personally think it's one of those ones when you're in the air and you're jumping and you're spinning you know. Manchester United they have a way back. Jack Grealish has a question to ask. Manchester United are back in the cup final. United are back. Well it's as cool as you like from Bruno Fernandes. And the drift forward. He was being tracked but he's still moving. Over it comes to Bernardo Silva. Knocked down to Kevin De Bruyne. He's too high. Enderley placed out of the box. Rashford goes into the box. Grealish finds stones. He tried to pull it back for Haaland. De Bruyne is there. Fred saw him off. Gundewan wants a penalty. De Bruyne too. They run from deep and he's there now. And he really ought to have got it on target. Well the fans were chanting Kevin Wood by Fred though he wouldn't go away. Luke Shaw stops the run of Bernardo Silva. Shaw is down. Really good defending from Luke. That was lit up after just 13 seconds by Ilkay Gundewan scoring the fastest goal we've ever seen in an FA Cup final. All 142 of them. De Bruyne. Missed by Lindelof. It's behind Haaland. Dangerous. Line of six. Across the six yard line. Gundewan. He got it. John Stones. Fred's challenge. Can he get a little towards goal? Comes to Rashford. Gundewan wants it back. Gundewan's got it back. Grealish again. And here's Haaland. Just for now there will be no FA Cup final hat-trick. It's past him. It's up there patiently waiting. Now Garnaccio. And Garnaccio is not far wide. And that's just a reminder to Manchester City after they went close that United are far from done yet. They're asking for decisions gone against them. Foden across. Here's Bernardo Silva. Just missed by Manu Akanji who was lurking with intent. I'll tell you what. There's a big header here at the back post from Luke Shaw. He's under massive pressure from Erling Haaland. Just as Foden cuts back onto his left. Stones. And it's bounced off him and wide. One message wasn't from Casemiro easily and pulls it back. It was Luke Shaw coming across from left back to stop Foden finishing this off. Yeah well done Luke Shaw. He's got to do more there Casemiro. He's steering right now. Shaw with the ball in. Too high for the run. McTominay and Ortega's out to save and it's hit the top. It's all going off.
