There was a young boy, named Anurag, living with a wise teacher in a Buddhist monastery.
Anurag was an excellent student, learning everything very quickly compared to other students.
The monastery was located in a peaceful place, surrounded by green trees and beautiful flowers.
One morning, when the wise teacher was working in the garden, Anurag asked,
Can you teach me how to become super successful in my life?
When I grow up, I want to succeed in everything I do.
The teacher smiled and said, Sure, Anurag. It is possible to be successful and I can teach you how.
Come with me to the other side of the garden. I have to show you something.
There, he opened a small sack of sunflower seeds and asked Anurag to take some.
He told him to plant it and keep it in a safe and comfortable place in his room.
The teacher planted the other seeds in the garden,
where it could feel the gentle touch of the wind and the warming rays of the sun.
Then he asked, Anurag, which one do you believe will thrive most?
Anurag immediately answered, the one in my room, teacher.
It is in a safe place, I will take care of it every day, and it will not be exposed to
outdoor dangers. The teacher smiled wisely. Anurag, time will show you what is the right
place for these plants. Orphan, things are not what they appear to be.
Weeks and months passed, Anurag was eagerly waiting for the results.
One day, the teacher came to see the plant in his room.
Anurag was proud of himself as the seed he planted had grown into a small sunflower.
Then the teacher asked to follow him to see the one he planted outside.
Anurag was surprised as he saw a tall, bright, and beautiful sunflower,
with its brilliant yellow petals. It looked warm and inviting as the sweet summer sun.
Well, teacher, it has become very tall and beautiful.
The teacher smiled and said, Anurag, I hope you understood my teaching.
Success is more than just being secure and comfortable. It is about confronting obstacles
and getting tougher as a result. It is about taking risks and growing through them.
Just like the plant outside, you must get out of your comfort zone,
confront the challenges of life, and become stronger than ever.
Anurag listened carefully and thanked his teacher for the valuable lesson.
He said, Teacher, I will remember your words all my life. Now I know how to become successful.
After that day, Anurag changed completely. He was ready to face any challenge on his way.
Whenever he had difficulties, he remembered the lesson of the two sunflowers and faced them
bravely. He felt he was getting stronger day by day. Growing up with this mindset, Anurag
achieved his dreams and became very successful. He never forgot his wise teacher. The teacher,
who believed in his potential and facilitated his growth over the years.
