Hello everyone!
This time, we will explore the Nishikyogoku Comprehensive Athletic Park located in Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City.
In addition to the three large stadiums, there are also well-equipped sports facilities such as gymnasiums and pools in the surrounding area.
This is Wakasa Stadium. It is located on the side closest to the nearest Hankyu Nishikyogoku Station.
It seems that a baseball game is being played.
You can hear loud cheers and performances, can't you?
This baseball stadium was completed in 1932.
From December 2009 to the end of March the following year, approximately 260 million yen was spent on renovations.
Wakasa Life Co., Ltd., a supplement manufacturer based in Shimogyo-ku, Kyoto City, acquired naming rights from that period.
Due to such circumstances, the name "Wakasa Stadium Kyoto" is currently used.
What you see in front of you is Takebishi Stadium.
It is used as a track and field cum ballgame stadium.
It appears that a university rugby match is being held here today.
Let's walk around the perimeter.
This is the third major stadium, the "Toji Housing Field Nishikyogoku," which is located in a big stadium.
It is used as a secondary sports field and mainly for activities such as track and field athletics training.
Now, we have returned to the area around WAKASA Stadium.
We are about to arrive at the same place as the starting point soon.
Well, I've just walked around the park once.
The station you see in the distance over there is Nishikyogoku Station, the nearest station.
Did you enjoy walking around the Nishikyogoku Comprehensive Sports Park?
Thank you for watching until the end.
Have a great trip, everyone.
