Duke vs. Florida State Game Highlights | 2024 ACC Baseball Championship (FINAL)

And a pair of Omaha hopefuls in Duke and Florida State. In the powerhouse, ACC, where we started with 12 this week. We are down to these two with Florida State and Duke advancing out of the semis yesterday. Somehow we're second team, all ACC, and in a couple of weeks, we'll be a first-round pick. This is rocketed to right. Bo-Tang Cam Smith, and Florida State strikes first. My goodness. Cam Smith showing off the opposite field. Gets a fastball, flips the bat, knows it. It ain't easy when you hit a ball opposite field and know that it's gone right off the bat. One, two. For Kyle Johnson. Croson scores with Obie right behind him. And the freshman, Kyle Johnson, gives Duke the lead. Boy, he delivered, because prior to tonight's ball, today's at bat, he was 0 for 2 with two strikes with bases loaded. Hadn't gotten a hit. Well, guess what? Just got a huge one here. He's worked into a 2-0 count. And Gracia bloops this one into center field, and it drops down a base hit. Clark and Johnson score, and A.J. Gracia comes through for the Blue Devils. Loaded up a 1. Clunked. Left field by Miller. And slam, Ben Miller. And Duke has blown it open in the title game. Then Ben Miller and what he was able to do with bases loaded. Fastball in. Turn those hands. Boy, absolutely crushing this baseball to left field over the pavilion. It's not the same as just playing catch. It's called catch play. Same kind of concept. Similar, but with a purpose. Jaime Ferrer lifts off left field and gone. Two-run shot for the Noles. Trying to mount a comeback here in the ACC title game. Number 17 on the season for Jaime Ferrer, continuing a career high and his second this week in Charlotte. At least pursue this a little bit more. One, two, and he strikes out. Runner on the move. The throw come from Jackson West to nab Devin Obey. And Joe Charles is fired up with Florida State hanging around. Singled at 109 off the bat his last time leading off the fifth. Hammer. Left field. Ferrer's back. And it's another grand slam for Duke. Devin Obey in the sixth. You have got to be kidding me. Devin Obey. How about this swing? Had not hit a grand slam this season. Was three for 10. Make it four for 11 now with a grand salami. Home run hitting lineup for Chris Pollard. Miller skies another. Left center field. Toward the wall. And got it. Miller's second of the ball game. And it is a Duke onslaught in the title game. And on cue. This is one of the big reasons why. They have just been overpowering the baseball out of this stadium. One, two. Slapped the opposite way in the left field by West. They wave around. Can't to. Strong throw. The pick. The tag. Got it. Chase Kroesing does it again. And he does it. MJ shrug in left. The 1-1. On the crowd. Right side. Towards second. Morris. On the move. And Duke has won the ACC championship.
