Hello! This lesson is on the topic of pronunciation.
Pronunciation is a part of the speech that explains the verb.
It does not change by gender, number, face, time and does not become a part of it.
So, for example, in the phrase
I quickly dressed my coat
the pronunciation is quickly
because we can't change its form.
There are different types of pronunciation.
For a place, for a time, for a way and for quantity.
We discover them through questions that we ask to the verb.
For example, in the phrase for a place we discover through the questions
Where? In which direction?
He goes out.
Where does he go out?
Outside.
And in the phrase for a time we discover through the questions
When? At what time?
For example
In the morning he got off the bus.
When did he get off the bus?
In the morning.
The questions with which we discover the phrase for a way are
How? In what way?
For example
He was running fast to the bus stop.
How was he running?
Fast.
To discover the phrase for quantity we ask the questions
How much?
In what quantity?
For example
The bus was a bit late.
How late was the bus?
A bit late.
We should note that some of the phrases
match the form of the adjective nouns
for the middle gender singular.
For example
I waited a long time at the bus stop.
And the child at the bus stop had a long coat.
We can distinguish the phrase from the adjective nouns
because the adjective nouns are connected in meaning
with the noun
and the phrase with the verb which explain.
In the first sentence the phrase long refers to the verb I waited
and in the second the adjective long refers to the noun coat.
Similar to the adjective nouns
the phrases also have three forms for gradation
positive, comparative and superior.
For example
Eli runs fast.
Riki runs faster.
Bobo runs fastest.
To summarize
The phrase is part of the phrase which explains the verb.
It does not change by gender, number, face, time
and does not become a part of it.
Similar to the adjective nouns, however, it can be graded.
There are different types of phrases
which we discover through specific questions.
