Used Luxury Cars You SHOULD NEVER BUY

Uh yeah. You'll want to steer away from these luxury cars I'm about to outline if you don't
want to know every mechanic in town on a first name basis. These four cars and an honorable
mention make the hall of shame for cars that you should never buy used. And the last one on this
list is known in car slang as the break my wallet special. So yeah stay till the end and you'll see
which lanyard sinks more than it swims. If you want a car that loves to live at the shop the
Mercedes W220 S-Class is your golden ticket. This fourth generation S-Class is classic Mercedes. Why
you ask? Well it has an absolutely insane depreciation curve. It looks great and oozes
comfort and it's a technological masterpiece with over 200 patents filed for all of its proprietary
systems that like to fail constantly. And that's not even the biggest issue because these don't
have just one but two huge problems. First is the car will flood from a very light rain. There's this
two-inch wide vent in the front cowl and it loves to get clogged with debris which lets the water
build up and spill into the cabin which soaks the carpet and will short out the SAM or the signal
acquisition module which is as expensive as it sounds. Also the expensive aromatic suspension
tends to fail on these which can be remedied but it will cost you thousands of dollars. So if you've
been thinking about getting a W220 S-Class think again. Jaguar came out with a premium compact
sedan and they called it the X-Type. And when you buy a Jag it oozes nobility and prestige. I mean
just look at how beautiful this thing is. But this thing wasn't really a Jaguar. See it was essentially
a Ford wearing a really bad costume. And we all know what Ford stands for right? Fix or Repair
Daily. And this entry-level luxury sedan lived up to its name. First the transmission failed more
than I failed math tests. I mean I still don't fully comprehend it. Heck I still remember the
question that held me back. A baseball bat and a ball cost $1.10. The bat costs $1 more than the
ball. So how much does the ball cost? Let us know down in the comments. And I'll pin the answer down
in the very first comment. But don't cheat. Also the sealed transfer case leaked more than a damn
failure. And being British electronics were just expected not to work. And somehow some way this
car that had a ton of problems miraculously was Jaguar's top seller for all nine years of its
production. So there is a lot of them out there but there's no reason why it should end up in your
driveway. I just had to include the Range Rover Sport because my best buddy has one. He actually
has come to think that when he accelerates. Gun it dude. This is normal. Gun it. Is that bad? No
it's great. No don't be real. Yeah that's horrible. So I should get rid of this car soon. Yeah you
should gun it though at the stoplight. You're on YouTube bro. Because it's been putting. Go! Go!
And not only that but his dash lights are constantly going off and it kind of reminds
me of Christmas. So let's get past the good looks because this large luxury SUV is the car for the
rich and famous. And when running well the large V8 and sporty suspension make it a blast to drive.
However one of the biggest issues is the dreadful air suspension. Not only do the airbags leak once
every three months but the compressor likes to burn out every 12 months or so. Probably because
they're constantly trying to pump up those leaky airbags. Also that big V8 runs extremely hot which
tends to melt the coolant hoses into a rubbery blob every 30,000 miles or so. So yeah it makes
no sense to buy one of these because finding a trouble-free Range Rover is like finding a needle
in a haystack. Now before we get into the last car on the list here's the honorable mention.
Overpriced when new the Volkswagen CC is still not worth your money. I gotta say for a Volkswagen
the design language is pretty upscale and it has a high maintenance personality to match.
Kind of like your ex. Although the DSG transmission is a pretty reliable one they must be serviced
every 35 to 40,000 miles. This commonly missed maintenance interval leads to notchy shifts and
other issues that used to make this car feel luxurious. Personally I think the quality of the
transmission is like a pair of shoes. Hear me out. If you're playing soccer in the mud and you don't
have on proper cleats yeah you're still playing soccer but you're not playing at the level that
you could be. A car can be fantastic but a transmission that isn't up to par can ruin the
whole experience. Also the two-liter turbo engine is punchy but man oh man does it chug oil which
will blow through rings faster than a divorcee on her fifth marriage. They're not unreliable in the
sense that they'll leave you dead on the side of the street they just constantly need some upkeep.
Now the car that you've all been waiting for the ultimate unreliable machine aka the BMW E65 7
series. This lanyard is you know what I'm just gonna cut to the chase. See the big f**k up was
that BMW tried to employ longer service intervals called condition-based servicing or CBS for short
which meant the big v8s needed their oil changed once every 15,000 miles at a minimum. This mistake
hardened the engine's oil seals so engine oil went where it wasn't allowed. The cost to repair
this was financial suicide for the owner and you know what else can be financial suicide?
Depreciation. So check out this video where the last car on this list lost over a hundred thousand
dollars in five years. Oh check out what YouTube recommends you watch next or if you haven't yet
please subscribe but either way you can't lose and as always keep living that ideal lifestyle.
