Hello, xin chào and we meet again. Today, the topic of Dr. Ngoc is related to our vaccination.
This is also one of the questions that many people are asking after some videos of Dr. Ngoc appeared on the YouTube channel as well as on the fan page.
People are still wondering if we will not have the same vaccine as the first vaccine when we get the second vaccine, but a different vaccine, will it be effective or not?
Or there are many people asking if we have vaccinated enough, will the effect be reduced over time?
That's what Dr. Ngoc is going to share with you today.
So what's the first thing we're going to do? We're going to get two different vaccines. What will the effect be?
At the moment, there are a lot of vaccines in Vietnam that are being used, such as Moderna, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, and Sinopharm.
According to the advice of the World Health Organization, when we get the first vaccine, we will get the second vaccine.
It will give us the same result as in the previous reports that Dr. Ngoc has compared vaccines.
For example, if we get two vaccines from Moderna, it protects 94%, Pfizer protects 95%, Sinopharm protects 78%, and AstraZeneca protects 70%.
That is, the two vaccines will be the same. So what is our first advice?
That is, the second vaccine will be the same as the first vaccine. That's the first thing.
So when we get vaccinated, we will ask what the first vaccine is.
If we get the first vaccine, what is the second vaccine?
The first thing is that we are getting the first vaccine.
The second thing is that there will be people who will ask what the question is.
That is, if we get the first vaccine, such as AstraZeneca, but then we don't get the second vaccine, can we get another vaccine?
So this is also a topic that at the moment the answer is still not available.
For example, at the moment in Vietnam, the vaccine that the Ministry of Health recommends that we get the second vaccine is the same as the first vaccine.
That's the first thing.
The second thing is that we can get the second vaccine for the Pfizer vaccine for people who get the first vaccine, which is AstraZeneca.
That is, the first and second vaccines will be the same.
There is another case, that is, the first vaccine is AstraZeneca, and the second vaccine can be either AstraZeneca or Pfizer.
That is, for each AstraZeneca vaccine, we can get two different vaccines for the second vaccine.
So this is what the Ministry of Health recommends in Vietnam.
So what will we come back to?
A lot of people will ask, what if we get another vaccine?
Will it work?
At the moment, there is no research on that.
Because in our field of medicine, it is science based on evidence.
That is, we have a scientific basis, then we can do it.
So what do we see here?
At the moment, there is only one research, which is to get the second Pfizer vaccine for people who get the first vaccine, which is AstraZeneca.
Because why?
When the AstraZeneca vaccine of the University of Oxford in the UK, when people started to conduct research and get it on people,
after a while, people saw that there were some cases, that is, it was marked as bloody.
And it stopped for a while in some countries.
However, after that, the World Health Organization will re-evaluate that,
among its risks, compared to those that are protected, it will differ too much.
That is, its advantages are much more than some of those risks.
And after that, the World Health Organization still allows AstraZeneca to be vaccinated.
And during that period, there are people who will get the second vaccine, which is to get the Pfizer vaccine, when AstraZeneca is still stagnant.
And there is a research conducted by more than 800 people of the University of Oxford in the UK,
about the fact that people get the first vaccine, AstraZeneca, and then the second vaccine, Pfizer.
So what do people see?
That is, when people get the second vaccine, Pfizer, plus the first vaccine, AstraZeneca,
people see that it is more effective than when people get the second vaccine, AstraZeneca.
And in this research, people will see like this.
That is, when we read together this report of the University of Oxford in the UK,
and it will also be different in order of vaccination.
If people get the first vaccine, AstraZeneca, and the second vaccine, Pfizer,
the effect will be higher than the opposite.
That is, if people get Pfizer and then AstraZeneca, the effect will be less than AstraZeneca and Pfizer.
We will see in this report, what will it give us?
According to the schedule, people who get AstraZeneca and Pfizer will have a higher antibody response than Pfizer and AstraZeneca.
That is, it is higher than the opposite.
And both produce a higher antibody response compared to the type approved by the AstraZeneca schedule.
The two standard doses are highly effective.
The highest antibody response is seen after the Pfizer two-dose schedule,
and the highest T-cell response after AstraZeneca, and then Pfizer.
What does that mean?
That is, the antibody is highest when two Pfizer vaccines are injected together.
That is, two Pfizer vaccines are still the highest for the antibody.
But if we compare the two vaccines, AstraZeneca and Pfizer,
it will be higher than two AstraZeneca vaccines.
This part is a bit confusing.
It's a bit confusing, but we will describe it like this.
We will have two types, right?
AstraZeneca and Pfizer.
The two AstraZeneca vaccines together are the lowest.
Then, the AstraZeneca vaccine plus Pfizer is more effective.
And then, it is still two Pfizer vaccines together.
So that's what people will say.
Ah, people can get the second dose of Pfizer for people who get the first dose of AstraZeneca.
And this is also being applied in Vietnam.
That is, in cases where people get the first dose of AstraZeneca,
they can get the second dose of Astra or Pfizer.
And other vaccines have not been studied.
That is, we don't know if it is effective or not.
Because there are no reports yet.
And in terms of medicine,
we will not be able to test it.
Because it is related to our life.
So many people will ask questions.
At the moment, what does the first dose contain?
The second dose still contains that.
For those who get the first dose of Astra,
the second dose may contain Astra or Pfizer.
Only each AstraZeneca has a different dose of that vaccine.
So that's what we will see.
There are reports like that.
And maybe later, when people will study the first dose of Sinopharm,
the second dose of Astra,
how effective it is,
or the first dose of Sinopharm, the second dose of Pfizer,
at the moment, there are still no such studies.
But according to Dr. Ngoc Nghi,
it will be very difficult to have such reports.
Why?
Because each vaccine company,
these reports, these studies,
are usually done by the vaccine company.
For example, people will study two doses of Astra,
how effective the first dose is,
or how effective the second dose is.
And when people sell vaccines,
they will study the vaccine.
But now, very few people,
when I sell this vaccine,
then I study to add another vaccine to it,
I get the second dose,
does it work or not?
At the moment, I think companies will not do such studies.
So we will ...
And if there are such studies,
if there are,
I will update the next videos.
So that's our first question.
What is the second question?
That is, if we have two doses,
how long will it take
to kill the antibodies in our body?
Because in the previous video,
Dr. Ngoc Nghi talked about
how long it takes
to get the first dose,
right?
And for the AstraZeneca vaccine,
for example,
its effect is protected
by about 70%,
more than 70%
within 3 months.
However, by April,
its effect is reduced to about 30%.
And many people will be afraid
that if we get two doses
and after a while, it will continue to decrease.
So in this question,
the answer is still
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know.
Why?
At the moment,
there is no research
that is long enough in 5 years or 10 years
for us to follow
whether it decreases after 5 years or 10 years.
But the research at the moment
is that we are only up to 6 months.
And what do people see?
People see that after 6 months,
after we get two doses,
after 6 months,
its effect still maintains the same effect.
It may decrease a little.
For example, some vaccines
decrease from 95% to 90%.
However, the degree of reduction
is not significant.
That is, it still maintains
its effect within 6 months.
And over time,
we will need to wait for
longer research.
At the moment,
we don't know how it will be
after 2-3 years
because there are no reports like that.
So there are a lot of people
who will be worried
about getting the first dose
and the second dose.
Or we are still worried
that if we get two doses,
after a while,
it will have no effect.
In fact, these questions
still have no answers
because there is not enough research
to answer them.
Instead of worrying,
we just ignore it.
Because if we keep worrying
about those things,
we will be stressed
and it will affect our health.
And we don't have an answer.
So let's think
in a positive way.
We don't know about those things,
right?
Even the World Health Organization
doesn't know.
Both sides don't know.
So let's just ignore it.
One thing that we believe
in Vietnam's Ministry of Health
because at the moment,
when the doctors see
our recommendations,
such as the first dose,
the second dose,
or the AstraZeneca vaccine,
the second dose,
or the Pfizer vaccine,
those are the recommendations
of the World Health Organization
to Vietnam.
So if there are changes,
Vietnam will also change.
So we just follow the recommendations
of the Ministry of Health.
And we will get vaccinated.
We don't have to worry
about the second dose.
It won't affect us.
If it affects us,
we won't get vaccinated in Vietnam.
So let's just ignore it.
Many people say
that they already got vaccinated
but they don't have a second dose.
In fact,
many people in Vietnam are like that
because they are still
waiting for the vaccine.
So if we don't have a second dose,
let's just make sure
that we have a 5th dose.
We know that the vaccine
can protect us,
but not 100%.
So we have to protect ourselves.
Those are some of the things
that Dr. Ngoc has shared
about some of the questions.
If you have any questions,
you can leave a comment
in this video.
Dr. Ngoc will read
almost all of your comments.
However, he may not be able
to answer all of them.
It's like a question
about what is the first and second dose.
Dr. Ngoc has to make a video
that takes more than 10 minutes
to answer.
So when you leave
such comments,
Dr. Ngoc will read all of them
and sum up what you are asking.
Then he will find out
and answer you in the next video.
Those are the questions
that we will ask.
The answer may be in the next video.
I'm not sure if he will answer
in that comment.
Because if he answers
in a short sentence,
it may not be enough
for you to understand.
Those are some of the questions
that we will know
when we get the vaccine.
That's all.
