Making clay pins + clay magnets

Hey guys, so in today's video, we're going to be making some clay pins and flash magnets. It's my first time, so please bear with me. I'm using an air drying clay. The first thing I'm going to do is to mold these into little food shapes that are more silhouette instead of the detailed stuff. I had to improvise because I had nothing to make the donut holes. I used this lead pencil cap and I ended up ruining it, but that's okay. At least I put it into more good use. The reason I'm kind of painting with water is to smooth the clay as the clay was getting a little cracky and rough and I didn't really have any experience in how to smooth it out, so this was a solution I came up with. The pretzel one, I think I got overly ambitious and it failed. So what I'm using to paint is gouache and I think that looking back, I should have done two layers, but I was lazy and I only did one. So if you're doing this and you want them to look cuter and smoother, then I suggest you do two layers of paint instead of just one. Throughout this process, the painting part was definitely one of my favorites and if I were to pick a favorite pin, I definitely have to say that the pancake one tops most of my thing. I know it's really simple, but then I just really like the butter I put on the pancake and the avocado one if I painted it better. I actually did a bigger version if you see the screen right now, but yeah. It's actually been a few days since you saw these, but in the video, it looks like it just happened, but I've been actually waiting for deliveries to happen. I've ordered UV resin, which is the glossy layer to put on top of these to make them shimmery and coat them so they last longer. It hasn't come in and I also ordered magnets to magnetize these, so they'll be some use to it and can like stick them on stuff. Here's an update of me waiting for a few days, probably weeks, what if it's a month, but hopefully I can get this quickly done.
