The Caring Women in Motion Award, an award that shines the light on women's contribution to cinema
both in front and behind the camera, is now live at the Place des Castes in France.
And in true Hollywood fashion, we surely expected our superstar divas and dames
to show up in their most spectacular fashions. Now while some showed up and showed us in their
jaw-dropping looks, others just needed to take a break and maybe go home. So here are the top 10
best and worst dresses at the Caring Women in Motion Award 2024. Take a look.
First up on our list and starting out strong, we have the beautiful Diane Kruger. And for the
Caring Women in Motion Award, she had on this sapphire blue structured blazer set by Balenciaga
from their Fall-Winter 2023 couture collection. And she was styled by the incredible Jonathan
Huguette. And I mean, she definitely had her foot down on her necks with this look and I
absolutely am just obsessed with it. Now the first thing that immediately draws me into this look is
the color. I mean, just this shade of blue up against her skin tone just gives her a vibrancy
that I really love. And I'm really just excited to see that people like her are not afraid to
take it there when it comes to like vibrant colors. I mean, I also am just really obsessed
with the structure of this look. This in itself is giving me very intricacies with the design
structure and it literally just gives me life. I mean, how this jacket just sprouts up and creates
that circle like detail and then going into that plunging neckline is so couture coded and I can
really appreciate that. Now, I really do love her hair in this look and I also really love the
styling choices with those black pumps and very dainty earrings. More so, the choice to have her
neck bare, void of any type of like jewelry also really works in this instance because I just feel
like it would have been a bit clunky if there was anything on her neck. So yeah, this was a major
fashion moment from Diane so it's definitely a hot for me. Up next on our list, we have the South
Korean singer and actress, Im Yuna. And for the Caring Woman in Motion Award, she had on this
olive white strapless long dress and she looks real angelic in this look tonight. Now, I just really
love how clean and concise this look is and even though this look in itself is a plain white look,
just the way different fabric and textures are mixed together just really produce a visual point
of interest in this look. Now, I just really love how this silky type material mixes so well with
that crepe white fabric. I think it just meshed really well just in terms of like construction.
Also, this swoopy swivel detail that we see on the bodice area was crafted in such a way that it
just gives structure to the top part of this look and I see it and I love it. Now, for styling, she
has paired this dress with diamond jewelries from Keeling Jewelry and I think that just played to
the overall softness of this look. This look in itself was simple but it definitely packed a punch
so it's gonna be a hot for me. Up next on our list, we have the legendary icon, Michelle Yoo.
And for the Caring Woman in Motion Award, she had on this burgundy and pale green strapless long
dress by Bottega Veneta from their fall winter 2024 ready-to-wear collection and she was styled
by the amazing Matthew Blazey and she looked really glamorous in this look tonight. Honestly,
what a total 360 turn from the horrendous fashion choices she's been serving us all award season.
I think part of the blame would definitely have to go to the Balenciaga team for putting her in
all those diabolical dresses that did absolutely nothing for her. However, tonight she is giving
fashion, she is giving details and she's ultimately just giving elegance. Now, I really do love this
dress and how funky it looks as well as the construction detail that we have going on here.
I mean, it goes from that leather bustier down to that feathery sliced fabric detailing and I
think that in itself just had a lot of movement and dimensions to it and I was all for it. Now,
for styling, she has paired this look with those pearl jewelries from Mikimoto and a matching pale
green clutch and that in itself was just giving me everything and more. This hair on her feels
very right with the dress and again, just the way the dress kisses the floor is just perfection to
me. So yeah, this look by Michelle Yu exceeded expectations tonight so it's definitely a hot
for me. Up next on our list, we have the gorgeous diva Amelia Gray Hamlin and for the Caring Woman
in Motion award, she had on this black faux leather strapless long dress by Balenciaga Couture
from their fall winter 2023 Couture collection and she was styled tonight by the super talented
Daniel Brown and she was eating the girls up in this black look tonight. Now, Balenciaga as a
brand is very hit or miss when it comes to their fashions and while some can be extremely unforgivable
and hideous, others can be design perfection and this look tonight on Amelia was definitely
falling under the latter category because I mean, this Balenciaga look was a total slay tonight
for me. I mean, even though this look is a black look which can most times just suck in all the
light, they have just managed to just keep things very visually interesting by playing with that
faux leather fabric. Now, the fabric manipulation on this look with the gathering of the fabric
to create that kind of like wet look is done to perfection. This look fits like it's supposed to
and I really just love the styling of this look with those really long pair of gloves. Honestly,
I'm just really getting into this no jewelry feel with her hair pulled back. I think that in itself
just created an edge to this look and it just really works with the overall look. So yeah,
this look by Amelia did what needed to be done in the fashion department and it's a hot for me.
Finally, on our best dress list, this list would not be complete without the inclusion of the
beautiful Lily Gladstone and for the caring woman in motion award, she had on this wine stone
suit set by Gucci and she was styled by the super talented Jason Rembert and I mean, if there was a
right time to do something different and serve fashion, this would definitely be the time and I
think she definitely delivered with this look tonight. Now, Lily has been on my worst dress list
back to back for her surprise look this past week but I just feel like there's an elevation about
this look that I must really appreciate. Now, I really love this suit look on her. It exudes
power and I just really love that the stoning of the entire look was done in such a consistent
manner. Now, the panther flare and just the way they kissed the ground just shows that this look
was absolutely custom made. This look was different for Lily but I think she pulled it off so beautifully.
So yeah, this look by Lily Gladstone has to be a hot for me. First up on our worst dress list, we have
the beautiful Zoe Saldana and for the caring woman in motion award, she had on this black satin long
dress by Saint Laurent and she was styled by the amazing Petra Flanery and am I really living for
this look or loving it all together? I really don't think so. Now, first of all, it just felt like they
were trying to elevate this look from just being a regular schmegular black satin type dress.
However, it just looked like we see a whole bunch of like details that did not necessarily make
sense when they came together and that to me was just a little bit of a eyebrow raise for me.
Now, I don't really like this lapel like v-neck detail that we had going on on the neckline.
That in itself was just too rigid especially for the type of material that was used in the creation
of it. Also, those cutout details that we see and the puffy sleeve combo were just a little bit of a
miss for me and I know that they were trying to play with just, you know, the juxtaposition of
the sexy and the reserved but it just ended up looking like an old grandma dress. So yeah, I
really don't know about this one so it's definitely going to be a chop for me. Up next, we have the
South Korean actress Han So Hee and for the caring woman in motion award, she had on this muted green
long dress by Kuku Lehi Shaheen and she was styled by the incredible Kayla Bennett and I'm sorry,
this was just one hideous dress and I would definitely not recommend. I mean, just the way
that this green tulle material looks with that silver embroidered detail just did not give me
the design construction or the glamour that I needed out of this look so that definitely just
took our points away from this look. This fabric to me just looks really inexpensive, it doesn't
fit right and the gathering that we see at the bottom of the dress just made this look just feel
like an ancient period dress and I mean, the struggle is definitely real with this one. So yeah,
this look by Han So Hee is definitely a chop for me. Up next on our list and the only man to be on
here for obvious reasons, we have Baloji and for the caring woman in motion award, he had on this
white and blue stripy shirt and black pants by God knows who and do I even need to explain why
this atrociousness is on this list? I really don't think so but you know what, I will. Now, can we just
talk about the fit of this look that in itself was diabolical. The styling with that tie that barely
even touched his pants were just horrendous and oh my god, those shoes, oh! It was giving me very
Jehovah's Witness in this look and the kind that will keep on knocking at your door until you learn
Yes, very that. He definitely needs to hire a stylist so that you know, he would just be saved
from this kind of atrocity but until then, this look is definitely still a chop for me. Up next,
we have the legendary actress Ava Greene and for the caring woman in motion award, she had on this
black suit set and she was styled by Harold James and this look was just a little bit of a let's
down for me. Now, I mean compared to other suit sets that we've seen on this carpet with structures,
colors and stonings, this one just felt a little flat on the face for me. Now, I just would have
loved something, maybe a style up to go with this look, maybe some gold or silver accent
jewelry or just something to really bring this look to life. Something, anything would have
really saved this look. So yeah, this look to me just felt really blase and casual and that to me
was not the vibe. So yeah, this look by Ava Greene is a chop for me. Finally, on our worst dress list,
we have the eccentric Charlotte Gainsbourg and for the caring woman in motion award, she had on this
black leather short dress and a pair of like mesh stockings by Saint Laurent and I mean, go girl, give
us absolutely nothing. I mean, this just looks like something really happened to her original option
in terms of looks, so she just had to go with this one because there is no way that this would have
been her first choice. I mean, this spaghetti strapped short dress doesn't look the greatest
and oh my god, those shoes, it was just really unforgivable for me. Maybe the club or like a
sorority party would have been a perfect place for this look but not the red carpet. So yeah,
this look was definitely a chop for me. Alright guys, we have come to the ending of today's video.
