I GOT A PUPPY!! 8-week english cream golden retriever

Hi everyone, welcome to today's vlog It is a very exciting one because as you can tell by the title today is puppy pickup day So a surprise I'm getting a puppy. She is an eight-week-old English cream golden retriever I'm getting her from a teeny tiny farm that is in Minnesota So we have an hour drive ahead of us. So my parents and I are going to go get her Of course, I will tell you guys her name and stuff once I pick her out. I'm so excited though Huh? I can't believe the day is finally here. I've known about this since May So trying to keep it a secret has been so so hard It is Saturday, May 8th But I just put a deposit down. I'm so excited. I have a little backpack packed for her Let's go get puppy Why did you have to go in here? They're all playful Oh my goodness, look at you There might be some other families that might be upset with that Is that the one you were holding Julia? No, I don't know Oh you're crazy Oh big yawn, big yawn Sleepy Nap time What are you barking for? It is 5 o'clock She actually did really well last night She kind of screamed and howled just when I went to brush my teeth 11.30 and then I laid down Next to the cage and just like pet her paw until she calmed down Then she fell asleep until like 1.30, 2 o'clock Then I took her out potty and she peed right away Then I took her out at like 3 and then 4 again Pee every time And then this last one she went to both potties So I'm going to feed her now And hopefully she like eats a full meal So I'm going to feed her because she's hungry Are you hungry Winnie? Winnie, Winnie, Winnie, Winnie Come here, come here Winnie Winnie, come here, Winnie Winnie, Winnie Winnie, yes Winnie, good girl Winnie, yes Good girl, yes Winnie, Winnie, yes Good girl Oh not that string, nope It is Monday evening And I haven't actually like sat down and talked to you guys Since I started this vlog The last few days have been crazy Because obviously I got Winnie And there have been really good moments And then kind of bad moments Of course that's going to happen with a puppy But she's been an angel a majority of the time And I love her so much And I'm very thankful that I'm able to be here at my parents And potty train her Because we're on the first floor here And I do still have my apartment But being on the third floor Would have been a nightmare And also like paying the $400 To have a pet You have to do like a non-refundable pet deposit Literally for one month Which that wouldn't have made any sense So I will be moving out in a month and a half Mid-September So her and I will have our own apartment So we're lucky to be able to spend time here But I did move into their upstairs bedroom Fun things are happening Just bear with me With talking updates sometimes It's really hard to do things With a new puppy Because when they're sleeping You obviously want to be a little more quiet And not disturb them or wake them So first day she slept a ton A lot of funny sleeping positions with that one But I love her And we tried to take her for a walk tonight And it was a mess I'll do a puppy haul soon here With all the stuff that I got for her I can kind of show you the setup And then I'm going to close out the video Because I'm going to get it up for you guys tomorrow Which is Tuesday I did take the day off of work today to bring her to the vet She already had all of her first set of vaccinations And everything So it's basically just a pre-checkup And then to set up the next set of vaccines So she'll get vaccinated in A week and a half So next Friday She'll get a booster And then she'll start her second round of heart guard And stuff soon And we'll get her all set to go with that So she can meet other pups And have a fun time At the dog parks and stuff eventually But anyway I'll show you guys our little setup in here Because like I said we're living back with my parents for a little bit And thankfully we're able to kind of have The like front entryway To like play with her and stuff And then we can be away from my parents dogs a little bit Because they're kind of aggressive Like Toby is pretty blind and pretty deaf He isn't very tolerant of younger dogs Especially ones that like want to play Because obviously he's 16 So he's old And then Jake is just another story He He's had a lot of health issues He's very food aggressive Aggressive towards the dogs Aggressive towards people So it's been a very interesting like integration with her So keeping them separated And just integrating them in small bits And taking it day by day So I go back to work tomorrow Thankfully I have my parents And my brothers help out with her Of course she'll be in future videos And I'll show my parents dogs more too But Jake actually just recently Had surgery Because he had a tumor The path report came back benign So updates That I haven't made I'll show you guys our setup and then I'm going to go shower and go to bed We literally went to bed at 10 o'clock last night Because I was dead And yesterday was not a good day for the both of us So we're learning So I have been kind of chilling on the floor With her just until she gets settled And comfortable at night So tonight I'm just going to actually set up like a little cot Just to lay down Because my back hurts from laying down Got this cool new little fan from Costco maybe And this bag, oh my god it's so cute I'll link the Instagram down below But it's my really good friend's Sister that Hand paints these So highly recommend buying one They're so cute and she is the sweetest And she also gave me this adorable little sticker She also does the cutest graphics Clearly Of course, the bed And this is Winnie's setup So I do have a bigger crate for her once she gets a little bit bigger We are working on crate training Not the easiest but I do have this little like Reusable puppy pee pad Just in case she were to go to the bathroom That's obviously not the goal is for her to go to the bathroom But I have it here just in case I believe this crate was handed down from Jake So my parents have had it for a while And then I just have a little blankie in here for her This was the blanket with her mom's scent on it And then I bought this little Pad for her And then her little Toy that has her Littermates scent on it And then we just cover up her Kennel with a blankie We have her little training treat jar A brush because I'm trying to get her Stimulated And then we just have a bunch of Goodies in here which like I said I'll do like a puppy haul But Yeah That's her drawer, toy basket My side of the bed And these cute little polaroids Of the dogs I do leave her collar here because I do put it on her if we go anywhere But I don't like to let her sleep with it on Because I feel like that wouldn't be comfy You know Random stuff and then I do have her food and water dish Which it looks like she doesn't have water in there But I promise she does And I have more stuff out there but
