Vintage Doxa for out of the box affordable collection

Hey guys, welcome back. I'm EDC Connor. I do watch reviews and I review all sorts of watches from modern, vintage and yesterday I was at the outlet city. I'm here in Germany, in a city called Metzigen and it's famous for its lots of outlets and naturally I went into the watch stores. I went into the Breitlings and some lower outlets. Breitling is one of the biggest brands they have and yeah, I was wearing my Doxa and yeah, it didn't felt like it was a lesser watch. Actually, it felt like it was a bit cooler than most of these watches. I lots of stores and there were lots of big watches, chunky Breitlings that are no longer popular and this is a vintage Doxa from the 70s and you can buy this on eBay all day long, mostly from Europe, from Balkan areas and don't hesitate to buy these. If you don't mind, 36 mils, manual wound Swiss made watch with a pedigree and yeah, that's what you do and these days that's the recipe for watches and these days watches are smaller, 36 vintage watches are more popular. However, people are afraid to buy these because of the servicing costs and whatnot but if it's cheap enough, don't be afraid. These work and these work for years, 50 years and more and they don't stop working and this one works. This one works like a Doxa. That's the popular saying in my country. This is a Doxa by Synchron. It has a domed plastic crystal. This is acrylic crystal. It can be easily polished and buffed and also has a beautiful sunburst dial, applied indices and it's a manual wound movement. Most probably some sort of a ETA or AAS movement and yeah, this one is gold plated as was in back in the day. It was very popular and of course you can buy these in steel and when you see this by Synchron, when you see this by Synchron, that means it's a good one. It's more sought after and I'm not really sure what that means but everyone was, it's worth more. Okay, so yeah, beautiful sunburst dial, champagne dial. This is what I really love about watches and what really got me into these watches, collecting watches and really what got me into making these videos back in the day. I used to make a lot and I did a Doxa by Synchron video in steel with the bull dial. You can check that out as well and yeah, very, very beautiful watch and I really enjoy wearing it. Okay, here is a wrist shot and my wrist size is 18 and a half centimeters and this watch is just gorgeous. Looks great with the cuff, with the dress shirt, whatnot but it's summer right now and I don't wear too much clothes and I wear this with t-shirt and jeans and sneakers and it just works and somehow I felt a little bit superior walking into these of these outlet stores and checking out these brand new watches, looking for a bargain and being it's an outlet and being it's an outlet, it's most of them were ugly and not as nice as my vintage Doxa from the 70s.
