Timeless Style_ 8 Classic Elegant & Ladylike Fall Winter Outfits; Goelia Try On

Hello everyone, welcome to my channel or welcome back. My name is Janice and this is JLJ Back to Classic. Today I am doing a try-on video. I haven't done one of these in ages. I discovered this brand for the first time several months ago. I saw an ad on YouTube, was intrigued and went to their website and I was hooked. The reason I was hooked is because the silhouettes are very not just timeless and classic but very feminine and ladylike. So what do I mean by ladylike and feminine? It's just my feeling but when I see sets including fit and flair full skirts that are knee length or midi length with matching cropped lady jackets that have gold buttons, a large selection of dresses that are not just short but also knee length and midi length, just very feminine and ladylike meaning they're not offensive. Nothing is overdone. The tops are not overly plunging. The skirts are not overly short. Now they do have some short skirts but I think they pair them appropriately with jackets that cover the person up. So if you're exposing a lot of skin on your legs, you're not exposing a lot of skin on your upper body. And that is how I feel a classic woman, whether she's young or older, likes to dress for the most part. At least it is it's for me. It's how I was when I was younger and how I am today. It's a pastel pink. It's just so adorable and it works beautifully. So I've steamed everything. I know I'm keeping everything. The first item is this blouse. This is made of a blend of acetate and polyester. It's a seasonless material that has the look of silk, but it is much easier to care for. It has button sleeves and I love the pleating detail around the neckline. It has a beautiful crew neckline, as you can see. I will show you a photograph of the blouse on screen here because it comes with an adorable pearl chain and you attach it underneath this pleat and this pleat. I'm trying to see in the reflection of my camera lens. I believe these are the pleats and there's just a little loop underneath each pleat and you attach the chain. It's a silver chain which is why I'm not wearing it today because I'm wearing big gold drop earrings and I just wanted to do gold today. You can wear this with jeans. Black jeans, black ballet flats, a black crossbody bag. So cute. You've dressed up your jeans. I chose a size extra small in this blouse which is my typical size, but I will say make sure you follow the chart guidelines because their sizing is different than we're used to here in the USA. What I did was followed both the body measurement chart and the item measurement chart. I found the two together so helpful and then I could say, oh that item is generous in that area of my body. I can size down or size up. I wish all brands would do this. I've only seen it done occasionally. Some brands will do it on some items but not on all and I don't understand that. Goelia has both charts on all the items I chose. The second item I chose was a pair of trousers, black trousers. They have pockets on the sides, pleats on the front. They have Bessem pockets on the back. I think the weight of this fabric is just perfect for year-round. It's a medium weight I would say. It's not lightweight at all but it's not heavy. It's just perfect. I think these are a wonderful pair of trousers and as I said because of the seasonless blend, they're easy to care for. I just steamed them. My next item is a dress. This is a worsted woolen dress, sleeveless, combination of wool, cashmere and elastane. This is the belt that comes with it which is also covered in the same material with a gold buckle. I will show you that it's adjustable which is so helpful. I can wear this down on my hips. I can wear it on my waist. It is a fit and flare. So here is the belt. As I said it's made of the same fabric with a gold buckle and it's adjustable which is very helpful. I have it set now to exactly where I want to put it on my waist and actually it has, I think these are called keepers, that's what I'm calling them, keepers for the belt but if you don't want these you can always trim them off with scissors. I'm going to keep them because I want to wear the belt there but you can also wear this without the belt. I will show it both ways. So here's the zipper. It's concealed. You cannot even see it. Makes it easy to get into. You can put a casual t-shirt under this. You can put a turtleneck under this. A black turtleneck would look wonderful. Silk blouse or silk turtleneck. My next item is this lady jacket. It's a combination of wool, cotton and elastane and it has beautiful sequins all over it. Front, back. I would wear this during the day. I would wear this in the evening. The buttons have gold crests on them. Buttons on the sleeves as well. The sleeves are long sleeves. Just because it has sequins does not mean I wouldn't wear it during the day. You could wear this with white jeans, gold ballet flats and a black crossbody bag and that would be adorable for day. You can wear it with black jeans, black flats. You can wear it with lovely black trousers, the ones I showed you, white trousers, beautiful pencil skirt, black pencil skirt. I think this may be my favorite. I don't know. Several items are my favorite. I think I have three favorites. This is one of them. I just think it's so gorgeous. My next and my last black item is this fit and flare skirt. I think this is my other favorite in the collection that I chose. I love a fit and flare skirt when it's done well and I think this one is because it has these beautiful pleats that lay flat and then soften out as the skirt flares out. I just think a full skirt is so feminine and flattering for people like me who are heavier on the bottom than on the top. This is easy to fit but if you're someone who doesn't have hips, it makes you look like you have hips. So it's so flattering on any female figure. Now it has deep pockets on the side. Again the pleats all the way around and look at that beautiful full skirt. Now I couldn't wait and I went ahead and wore this last week. It was low 80s. Today it's in the 60s. It's much cooler but it was a warm day so I wore this with a short sleeve top and flats. Did I wear flats or kitten heels? I think but it would look beautiful dressed up or down. That's why I love a well-made fit and flare full skirt. You can do so much with them in the summer. Imagine this with a white cotton t-shirt, black flat sandals, a cute black crossbody bag or red or pink crossbody bag and you're good to go. Or dress it up with this blouse or another dressy blouse. You could put the sequined jacket with this. Beautiful. This would look beautiful with a silk camisole and that jacket. There's just so much you can do. You can wear a white cotton poplin shirt with this and roll up the sleeves. Wear it with pumps or wear it with flats. It actually comes as part of a set and I'm telling you I would buy the set just to get the skirt. But the cardigan it comes with is very pretty as well and I will show you that now. This is a tweed jacquard cardigan. It's polyester and viscose so it's easy care as is the skirt. But this is so pretty on its own as well. So it's an ecru color which is a dark ivory trimmed in black all the way around. It is long sleeve, not three-quarter sleeve, definitely long sleeve and it has beautiful gold rimmed pearl buttons. You see the jacquard texture and these very pretty buttons. If you like a higher neckline you can leave this buttoned. If you like a more plunging you can unbutton it. This cardigan is so versatile because you can wear it as is or you can open it up and wear it over a silk camisole. You can wear it over a black cashmere crew neck top or a black turtleneck. Imagine this with black jeans, black pointed toe flats, and a dressy little shoulder bag. So cute. Or of course with the full skirt. And because they had the chart that gave the item sizes it was easy for me to pick. I chose size small. So the skirts are small and the cardigan is small. I think this may be one of my other favorites. This lady jacket in lamb's wool with gold buttons. Has long sleeves, not three-quarter, has real pockets down here, faux pockets on the chest. This can be worn open or buttoned up. I love the look of it buttoned with just one button or worn over the shoulders. It's lovely worn open as well. Now this is a casual wool fabric in terms of the look of the fabric but the buttons dress it up as does the silhouette. It's a lady jacket silhouette. This would look beautiful with accrue jeans and gold flats and a gold shoulder bag or crossbody bag. Wear this with white trousers, winter white trousers, with this blouse and high heel gold pumps or light beige pumps. Beautiful with black trousers, beautiful with a black skirt, that full skirt or a pencil skirt. Just great with jeans, regular jeans, denim jeans or black or white jeans or off-white or ivory. Here it is up close. It's very warm. It's very warm so it's useful as well as pretty. There are those textured gold buttons. Yes, I think that's definitely one of my favorites. So now how about brown herringbone? 100% wool. Believe it or not, this blazer is washable. It has split leather detailing on the pockets here as well as on the chest pocket. It has a back vent. It's cut very much like a riding jacket so when it's buttoned up it gently hugs the waist but very gently. Now if you like the look of a more man's jacket, just wear it open and then it has a straight look. But I like a button because then it shows the figure more and it's definitely more feminine. And there's the leather pockets. The pockets are real pockets. These are, this one is a faux pocket. Has the buttons on the sleeve. As I said it's 100% washable wool. It's all lined as you can see. A blazer like this in this herringbone wool looks beautiful paired with denim jeans. Also with black jeans or white jeans. Believe it or not, it looks great with white jeans. Pair it with an oxford cloth shirt. You can do a light blue oxford cloth shirt, white jeans, and then if you've got flats or loafers in a brown tone similar to the leather or the herringbone, that would look wonderful. But you could also put this with black trousers. It also looks wonderful paired with a dress. A very frilly brown beige dress. Put this over. It's a wonderful juxtaposition of masculine with very feminine and that looks very nice together. Blazers like this also look wonderful over shift dresses especially if you have a sleeveless shift dress. You could also belt this if you want to put a belt on it. If you have belt the color of the leather. Just a gorgeous gorgeous blazer. My last item is a set. This is one part of the set. It's a vest. It's in the very same fabric as the blazer. That herringbone washable wool. It is a collared vest button front. Here's the back. It comes with a belt which is a mixture of the herringbone wool and faux brown leather. It has keepers on the side so if you like where those are they keep the belt where you want it to be. I like the keepers because I like the belt exactly where they have placed these. You can cut them off and put the belt anywhere you want. You can also wear the belt on trousers or on skirts. Use that belt on the blazer I just showed you. It has a covered buckle on the belt right here and then the brown faux leather. It's a wonderful color of brown against this herringbone. This would look lovely with a white ruffled blouse underneath sleeveless and then the white ruffles here. Now you can wear this buttoned or unbuttoned or just have one unbuttoned here like this. You can wear this by itself or you can wear it over a turtleneck. A black turtleneck would look lovely, a brown turtleneck, beige or a chunky one of those rolled neck turtlenecks that are chunkier, maybe sleeveless. That would look gorgeous. Also this flares out slightly at the hem to accommodate your hips if you have them. If you don't that's fine too because it makes you look like you have them. I just think this is so versatile and gorgeous fabric but as I said it is a set. You thought I meant the belt. No, I meant this gorgeous cape. So here it is with the cape, the vest and the belt. You can see there's tiny little button holes on here. The button under the collar. There's the button. The button there right on the back of the vest and then another button underneath the collar there. So the buttons are all hidden by the collar. I love the concept of having the option to use the cape or not. You can also carry the cape over your arm in case you need it or put it in your tote in case you need it and then button it on if you end up needing it say in a cold office or if you're warm inside but it's cold outside so then you button on the cape.
