DJI Mavic 3 Pro

More than half a year has passed since I started using DJI Mavic3 Pro.This
time, I would like to introduce about 5 things that impressed me personally after using it.The
first point is "quietness during flight".I used it before. The type of sound is different from the Mini series that I used to use.Last
year, I flew the nostalgic Phantom for a drone qualification exam, and compared to the aircraft from that time, the difference was obvious. It was
clearly "noisy" within 20 meters. If you go further than that, it suddenly stops bothering you.At
around 100m, it starts to lose out to the surrounding environmental sounds, and at around 200m, you can't hear it completely.I'm
looking forward to further reductions in flight noise.2
points The eyes are the three-lens lens, which is the main feature. Although you don't use it often, if you have it, you can expand your range of photography.
Let's compare them from the same flying position. These are the main wide-angle (24mm),
medium telephoto (70mm), and wide-angle. Approximately 3x zoom
Telephoto (166mm) Approximately 7x zoom from wide angle
It was convenient to be able to take 3 angles of view with one camera. It is easy to use and feels similar to an iPhone. The
third point is the "visible distance" of the aircraft. '' has increased.Basically, a drone must be flown within the range that can be seen with the naked eye.The
Mavic 3 Pro has a somewhat large body and is gray in color, making it highly visible both on blue and cloudy days. The
Mini series has a large body that is visible to the naked eye. Because it was small and white in color, I felt suspicious if I
kept it at a distance of 200m, but with the Mavic, I felt that the distance was doubled.By
the way, when I tested it again, the limit for me was about 700m. It's very easy to lose track of it, so in practical terms it's about 400m.The
fourth point is simple "flight stability".Anyway, the feeling of security when flying is different. With
the Mini 2 that I used before, even a little wind was scary. However, with this aircraft, you can fly it with confidence even in strong winds. The
hovering accuracy is also high.It stays in place with almost no deviation. The
image of a drone is that it is something that needs to be moved.Of course, There's nothing wrong with that.
However, I often hold the camera stationary in the sky and take pictures as it is. I often take fixed-point overhead shots.
Hovering accuracy is very important for this kind of shooting. If it shakes a lot, it will give off a "drone-like" feel.
With the Mini 2 that I used to use, it was defeated even by weak winds and would move little by little. For example, it would be like
setting up a tripod in the air and taking a picture. That's how stable the picture can be taken.Fifth and
final point. is the "accuracy of the RTH function" This is also related to the accuracy of GNSS positioning
Drones have a "fail-safe function" in preparation for emergencies such as signal loss. The
main feature of this is "RTH". is an automatic return function that returns the drone to the takeoff point by itself. The
current altitude of the drone is 145m, distance is 300m.Suppose a signal is lost here.Start
RTH.The aircraft remembers the takeoff point and returns using GPS, etc.
The aircraft gradually returned to me. I was not controlling it at all. Once it was above the takeoff point , it started
descending. From here, it descended slowly while making fine adjustments to the position.
When it reached an altitude of about 2 meters, it paused. From there, I carefully landed at an even slower speed.I
returned safely and landed exactly where I took off.I
always fly manually, so I was surprised to see that I used this for the first time in a while.I don't think older models were this accurate. Even so
, it still occasionally deviates, but it is quite accurate. If it can return with this accuracy in an emergency, you can rest assured. So
, after using the DJI Mavic3 Pro for more than half a year, these are the 5 things that stood out to me.For
my purpose of use. I'm very satisfied. If I had to pick a drawback, it would be the price.Personally,
DJI is the company that I'm most looking forward to new products at the moment (next is Apple). The speed of product development is fast, and I don't get tired of watching them
come out in the future. I'm already looking forward to the ``4'' that will be released.I also want to be able to take pictures in a variety of ways in the future.See you
then.
