Berrettini Faces Shapovalov; Shelton, Gasquet & Struff Feature! | Stuttgart 2024 Highlights Day 4

Superb stuff from the Frenchman, well that might be the point of the tournament so far. Pinned him deep didn't he, it's been impressive. That was a minor recovery from Gasquet but Nakashima has not given much away in that first set. That's outrageous, oh superb. It's a 40th win of the year at all levels for Brandon Nakashima. Speaking of steady pace, oh that's lovely, just pure power. That's a thoroughly deserved set of tennis for Jan Lenard-Struff. Too short, that's a nice finish. What a first volley that was from Struff. Oh well done, all about the hands that time from Jan Lenard-Struff. Oh brilliant, flawless tennis. Oh that's superb, one of the best tie breaks you will see from an individual player. He gets it done at the business end of both the first and second set. Oh yes, that's as good as it gets. Double faults can be an issue for him, particularly in the big moments. And the first of the day could prove to be extremely costly. Because Berrettini has got a break. He was frugal in terms of delivering the seconds. Where did that come from? That's brilliant from Berrettini. And he's approached well today isn't he. Some good hands there and a good hold. It's a good win for Matteo Berrettini. Two time former champion in this city. Loves playing in Stuttgart. A bit early didn't he, Shelton. Just had a sense something like that was coming. He's not going to hold back is he. And Ben Shelton has not done himself any favours. Right at the death of set number one. Oh would you believe that. Oh it's brilliant. Yeah on that occasion. And Ben Shelton as a result of that early break in the second closes it out. Oh what a point that is. Oh stop it. He's got it. It's a first top 20 win in nearly three years for James Duckworth.
