So, if you want to go around Asia in addition to 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 9 months
Then this is the place to go.
I'll spend 6 months and a couple of months traveling around Asia and beyond.
And all I've done, plans, places, food and drink
And all the fun stuff.
So, here's where to go.
If you haven't been around Asia West yet
Then this is the best place to start walking around
Because this place is easy and this is where to start
Go to places like India, when this place can be quite difficult
or My Tây Tây Ngoài.
Asia West is also very easy to get around.
If you speak English,
And you will certainly do that
When I hear this video,
Then you can walk around this place very easily
Because most people usually speak English.
So, you'll be all right.

to help you get around and out of the area
The following information is provided:
Now, with COVID-19,
Do you like it?
Okay, let's start with the road.
The best way to go around Asia is beyond.
There, well, the first bit
It's called the Banana Pancake Trail.
which you may or may not have heard of.
Banana Pancake Trail is a great way to get started.
is basically around Thailand,
Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia
which is like the four main
In countries such as
the mainland of Southeast Asia
and basically
you fly into Bangkok,
Thailand, you go around North Thailand,
You go around Laos, then into
Vietnam, down Vietnam
and then into Cambodia
and then to the Thai Islands
And this is called the Banana Pancake Trail.
Do this, it's the best place
If you're a solo traveler, you'll meet so many
Other people who are traveling around there
And you'll probably be able to travel with people
for a long time because there are so many
People do this route.
It's like the most common route
in backpacking in the world.
I think, I'm not 100% sure
Anyway, I'm not going to go into that.
From the Thai Islands, I recommend
You flying to
The Philippines
is like nowhere else.
There are thousands of islands
And it is beautiful.
I definitely recommend going there.
Because it's not as touristy at the moment but
It's going to blow.
Because this place, white beaches everywhere,
You almost get bored of those white beaches.
From the Philippines, I recommend
You fly into Indonesia, into Jakarta.
And then travel along
Like the bottom islands of Indonesia
through Java, Bali,
Lombok and Flores
I spent almost
3 months in Indonesia and I feel
I could spend another 6 months there
Because it's stunning.
Indonesia is more than just
Bali is nice.
Still go to Bali, get that Bali experience
I know it.
So, from Indonesia,
fly into Malaysia and Singapore.
Not as many people travel around
Malaysia is an amazing country.
I only went to Kuala Lumpur
But there are other places
That you can go which are supposed to be really nice
In Malaysia like Penang
and Langkawi.
There's also the Perhentian Islands.
It's a cool place if you want to scuba dive.
and all that stuff.
The best place to finish is probably
Singapore because it's such a big airport
It's got a lot of space and a stunning place.
There's a botanical garden in there so
Check this out.
Singapore is amazing.
You just spend about 3 or 4 days
in Singapore but it's a great place to
Finish your trip because from Singapore
Airport you can literally fly
It's a great place to live.
transport hub to get around the world.
If you're going home or going somewhere else
Get yourself to Singapore and get yourself
Or you probably want to stay out
The time to do
This route is probably at
At least 6 months if you're doing
But if you're just doing
Banana Pancake Trail with the Thailand,
Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia, you can do
That easily
Two or three months.
But if you want to do it all, probably
6 months, at least looking towards
9 months, but of course
You could go on for a year or two years.
There's always more places to explore.
So now let's have a look at the accommodation.
Where are you going to stay every
- On the floor?
The best place to stay
is hostels, especially if you're solo
Traveling because that's the place to
Hostels are the meeting place.
That's where all the young people
All the wild, young, free,
energy
People are and that's where you want
Although it's not to stay
I always found the cheapest places.
using Agoda, Booking.com
and Hostelworld that sometimes
staying in guesthouses or private rooms
were actually cheaper than staying in hostels.
So do your research.
Best for your budget
And all that. The next thing I'm going to talk about
transport. So transport is
is... there's a lot of
You could spend hundreds of dollars on a new computer.
of pounds flying everywhere
Or you could go super local and make
It's really, really cheap.
depends on your budget and the amount
If you're not, I'm not.
Taking flights, every place you go is
It's going to get so expensive but
There's always a cheaper way to do it.
If you take local buses, local
Trains, you can get around
Southeast Asia for such a cheap price.
One place that is kind of
expensive though is the Philippines
As you can take ferries
which are still quite expensive
But flights are the way to go around
The Philippines because
There are so many islands and you have to get across
But you can
get around most countries
Just through buses, trains
all that kind of stuff.
So go local if you want.
A free way to save money.
of getting around Southeast Asia is hitchhiking.
I did this a couple of times and it was
Actually really fun even though I
I had to wait quite a while.
One tip when you get to a place is rent
a moped because it's the best way
to get around wherever you are
Staying and seeing places not
Just in the tourist hub and see
People, see houses, see everything.
I'm not just talking about the tourist attractions.
Get a moped, get a ride
license and you'll love it.
Always get a moped.
If you can drive.
So the next topic is
food and drink.
Getting that alcohol.
So food, a lot of people
Are afraid to try street food
because they think they might get sick.
You could get sick.
I'm not gonna lie to you.
I think three times
In my six and a half months
in Southeast Asia but
I still don't know if it was from the street food
whether it was from a restaurant.
You're likely to get food poisoning
At least once if you're going on
It's almost inevitable.
But don't let that stop you.
from trying the street food because normally they're cooking it
Right in front of your eyes and so on
It's normally safe.
The thing is if you're scared
Don't eat meat.
is what's gonna give you some
Some kind of diarrhea or something.
So just get the meat and you'll be fine.
But street food is the best way
Try the local food.
Vietnam and not trying any of their
local dishes.
You have to.
If you're going to try western food which you might
I want to if you're so bored of eating
cultural that
local food
It's not as good and it's more expensive
Unless you're in a place like Bali.
Where there are so many western chefs
And then stuff.
and try to stick to the local food because it's better
And it's cheaper.
Cocktails are expensive.
But beer, especially local
Beer is so much cheaper.
One of my beers in Vietnam cost me
$0.20
Do you know if that's a dangerous
When a beer thing
Like a can, like a coke can
cost $0.20 because
I could get drunk for that.
$4
Or maybe less than that.
The other thing is, I'm not going to do anything.
Try is the local spirit like in Vietnam
You can drink.
Vietnamese
rice wine which is
It's disgusting, but it'll get you drunk.
And get you having a good time if you want to do that
So try it.
It's cheap and it's strong as
You're going to have a wild
So the last area is night.
A lot of people ask me about budget.
The European Union is a
How much could they
spend, how much they should spend
And to be honest it varies so much
But don't worry I got a lot
So I actually
I wrote down how much, I recorded
I spent everything in each
country and how much
I spent in each country
So I kind of got a rough budget
I'm not going to be able to pay for it.
So the
starting in Bali
I spent in Bali, you must be
A little more lenient because it's so touristy
You're going to spend about £30 a
You can spend less
You can spend more but this is what
I kind of recommend.
in other parts of Indonesia
You can actually get away with spending only
20 pounds a day in Vietnam.
It's a cheap country, only
£20 a day.
North Thailand you can spend
Just £20 a day but in
Southern Thailand you're going to spend more because
It's more touristy at £30
The Philippines you're in.
going to spend £30 a day because
You have to take flights and ferries
A lot of places which makes it
The food is cheap.
But those flights and getting
Transport around the country is what is
Cambodia is expensive.
I spent
£30 a day which I was quite surprised about
But it's quite touristy now
With Angkor Wat which it costs
like at least 30 US
I'll check that
Cambodia is
becoming a more expensive place to go
In Laos I spent
£25 a day which is
Pretty decent in between.
But it's awesome.
Not as many people go
There and it's beautiful.
So that's all my tips.
