[Full Top 9th] Dodgers Wild 9th Inning Comeback against Rockies | Jason Heyward, Teoscar Hernandez

down to their final three outs on top of the ninth inning we'll begin with Andy pz facing the right-handed Taylor Kinley 781 erra is batting 307 against him 24 earned runs in 27 and 2/3 innings Dodgers trailing nine to four let's get weird boys come [Music] on does that mean scoring some runs yes in the ninth inning all right I'm I'm down for that one and two after the foul ball Pas one for two he Homer of the year in the second walked in the fourth struck out in the [Applause] seventh ball two in the dirt way outside I mean if ever to take that approach of just trying to get down to first base just you want to create a little drama a little uneasiness for this Rocky staff so Colorado kind of did last night in the ninth inning right they scored four Dodgers need five tonight the difference is though that the Rockies they they know they've struggled in that Bullpen and they know good things don't look at Bud can't even watch that's not what's happening he's looking down the payoff in the a right field tailing and foul ground it will get into the seats after the game regardless of the result access sportset Dodgers will have you covered highlights and reaction with John Hartong Jerry Harrison Jr and noar Garcia par don't give up is jar j jar jir can't do it what that St hot wasn't that somebody in a Star Wars bar I thought that was anyhow another 3-2 here we go downstairs lead off walk see you just want you want to put a few guys on base so at least the rocky Bullpen and those guys get that oh no here we go again in their mind like a ground ball through the right side man you go ball one I think I got a eyeball him until I get a strike right take until I get [Music] one or not Flair right field drops down pz cuts the bag first and third nobody out in the [Applause] ninth all right giving the guys a little something to think about roas roas putting putting this graphic to the test there you go right they haven't lost when he gets a hit he just got one now Kik Hernandez makes a rip Bing back a strike just keep getting down to first we do that a few more times we got shohi coming up [Music] Che swing went [Applause] around Kinley makes a good pitch bottom part of the Zone just off the plate Kik can't hold [Music] up one out now Miguel Vargas he's two for three RBI double is last time up getting an opportunity to face a right-handed pitcher up to seven hits on the year five of them for extra [Music] bases one and one [Music] PES on third roas on first one gone in the ninth the one- one pitch one and two [Applause] Vargas has the count even TK was in a similar situation 2-2 and kley went with that off speeed outside low and away for Vargas you got to look out over the plate if he goes in oh well [Music] here's the two two pitch spit on it wow ball three okay I like it I mean you saw him he was trying to go away he just missed his spot again if you're Vargas looking out over the plate Jason Hayward in the on Deck Circle for Chris Taylor first this payoff to Vargas rip foul on the Third Base Line good hack [Music] there Lani waiting hoping for another opportunity another 3-2 pitch with Runners on the corners and one out in the ninth yeah a baby vargy loads the bases with a [Applause] walk the Dodgers fans here in Denver trying to will this ninth inning rally last night Jason Hayward started game one went three for five drove in a couple scored once we're just looking for a solid at bat get down to first base you don't have to provide any Thunder you let the man on Deck come up create a little drama see where this thing takes us Victor VOD up and throwing in the Rocky pin I'd like to see that match up bring in vodnik to to face shoh just power versus power but in the meantime now a grand slam does not kill the Rockies but Jason Hayward does have three of them in his career PES roas Vargas bags packed for the Dodgers and Jay ha sh to the plate ball one [Applause] foul ball evens the count Dodgers not going quietly kinley's one-1 pitch down and in Advantage Jason Hayward big swing big mess two and two took a little something off of that right there had J out in front [Applause] [Music] [Applause] Here Comes Kinley award stays [Music] alive G after him with sliders on the last two pitches another 2 two Hayward Rockets the ball the right field that balls deep it's off the fple and gone the Dodgers ain't dead yet it's 9 to8 I don't get it he he had just thrown him two sliders and he tried to throw a third one to him and J ha does not [Applause] miss pitching change for Colorado sh Otani will come to the plate representing the tying run what do we say EK let's get weird J ha said don't go away fourth career Grand Slam as the Dodgers within [Applause] one base is empty still only one out Victor vodnik against Sho Otani 100 and strike one it's just going to be power versus Power vodnik is not going to try and trick anybody here off off the plate triple digits once again one and [Music] one ground ball base hit tying Runner [Applause] board bodnik has allowed a run in four straight games in his last four seven earned runs in four four Innings pitched show he can hit it in the trees he can shoot it the left field tell you something else that the Rockies have to be aware of right now show he's not afraid to steal a base now Will Smith who's oer tonight he has reached via the walk Dodgers saw vodnik at Dodger Stadium the 31st of May pitch 2/3 of an inning one hit one walk Whittier B Rialto raised oh what a shot looking back at sh hotani the tying run on first base big swing and a miss for Will Smith nothing in one the Dodgers entered this ninth inning down 9 to4 the Grand Slam from Jason Hayward has it at 9 to8 and you would like to think those who ble blue anyway that Will Smith is due for one threatened three times last night two balls one strike vodnik wanted that and did not get it change up at 91 milph just High three and one Whatever seat you've been sitting in don't move whatever hat you've been twirling don't stop on 3-1 he swings and fouls back a second strike filling up this [Applause] count vodnik payoff Smith stepped out he wanted called time out he did not get it [Applause] I think will thought that the pitch clock had expired so he's stepping out didn't get any acknowledgement oh he no he's asking for time time out time out time out and he's doing it the right way because he's asking for it verbally doesn't take his hand off the bat ball gets to the back stop Otani into scoring position for Freddy Freeman that is a tough break for Will Smith and the Dodgers but the ninth inning has to roll [Music] on I don't know how you don't just put Freddy on at first base right now yep that's exactly what bu black just sign go for got yeah you got to go down [Applause] there so the on base streak does continue for Freeman in the month of June but the bat taken out of his hands and his six walk of the series it's up to teoscar hernandz First Daryl Scott will have a chat with vodnik so Will's doing doing exactly the right thing you see the verbal you see the mouth I want time I want time time time and that's how you call time out you do not want to take your hand off the bat and try and signal to the Empire you do have to be demonstrative though and you have to start screaming like somebody's attacking you so the Umpire does hear it I mean if he hears it and doesn't give him time I I mean that just that's weak we looking at I think he's also curious about where the clock was there the Rockies have already blown a five run lead in the ninth inning once this season at the end of April on the road in Miami the Dodgers trying to make it two so take a look at the clock right now it turned off right when the pitch is going strike one on 100 from B I don't think bodnik is going to mess around not going to try to trick him not going to try any throw any sliders it's going to come right after P Oscar the ninth batter of the inning goes out of the Zone here comes a fast ball big swing big Miss 100 mph again from the right-hander the Dodgers are down to their final strike ta takes [Applause] time C's field whether in blue or purple to its feet two on two out in the top of the ninth the onew check swing he did not go oh Goodman can't believe it the rocky Dugout is up in arms I man it looked like he went from where up here h no I mean that's oh and if I'm wearing yeah dodg or blue he didn't go bub black still going at it with Lance [Music] barkdale now the crew chief at first base tonight giving to Oscar Hernandez and the Dodgers one more life Barksdale sent by black back to the clubhouse now the two- two flat ball right field hit deep debut gone ta a hero the Dodgers lead [Applause] he Nelly Just got weird up here real weird [Applause] seven runs in the top of the ninth inning now ahead by [Applause] [Music] [Applause] two mnik tried to throw that fast ball getting with right down the middle part of the plate and he was low anything elevated that's going to be tough to catch up to it just again it doesn't matter how hard you throw if you don't hit spots it's not happening for you tail does it again Sky to Center that'll be the last out of the ninth inning but the Dodgers bat around score seven they go from down 94 to up 119 three outs from a w a grand slant from jge and then a three-run shot from Tao [Music] [Music]
