Bonjour, it's Théo.
You can see the Notre-Dame Cathedral just behind me.
It's raining today in Paris but we're gonna eat some crêpes.
I'm going to a beautiful place to meet another content creator.
You've maybe seen her on Instagram.
Let's go.
The Notre-Dame Cathedral is closed.
There was a burning in 2019 and they are doing some construction work.
They wanted to open it for the Olympics but I'm not sure it will be open at that time.
We're gonna see.
The crêpes are just next to Notre-Dame, right here, near the Seine River.
It's one of the first places I tried on Instagram like 2 years ago.
I can't wait to try it again now.
Here is what we call a bateau-mouche.
It's like a long boat where you can admire all the monuments through the Seine River.
It's an unmissable thing to do in Paris.
We are waiting in lines in this beautiful restaurant called La Crème de Paris and we
are with Estelle.
Have you ever tried this place before or is it your first time at La Crème de Paris?
It's my first time.
First time.
They do crêpes and waffles and the decor is really beautiful.
It's a perfect place just near Notre-Dame.
You need to come early or maybe the beginning of afternoon because it's like 4pm and it's
so crowded right now.
They also have another location near the Grand Boulevard.
It's open all day long from 8am to midnight.
It's like a place you can eat waffles, crêpes and ice cream all day long.
We are seated in the restaurant.
It's really crowded but the place is beautiful.
It's also beautiful at night.
I've been there before during the night and it's really beautiful because you have the
view of Notre-Dame.
So in the menu, you can have many things.
You can have crêpes, waffles with savory or sweet recipes and also ice creams.
You can even find like the croissant, like a Parisienne café.
Estelle, are you more into crêpes or waffles?
I think crêpes.
Ok, we've chosen what we wanted.
I'm taking the waffle, the gaufre.
I was about to say it in French.
The waffle with dulce de leche, lemon and speculoos.
It's called Biscoff if I remember in English.
And you took?
I took the salty caramel of course because it's my favorite.
She has a better accent than me.
She has a better accent.
So if you don't know Estelle, she's an influencer, a content creator and you're making videos
about restaurants in Paris in English also.
Why did you start to talk in English on video?
So basically, my account was for my friends at the very start and I did my studies abroad
so all my friends were speaking English.
So for me, it made completely so much sense to continue in English and not switch to French
when I came back in Paris.
I think that not that much influencers now are starting making videos for their friends
and families but you started for the friends and now you're successful on it.
I'm also a content creator for other chefs and star dressers in Paris.
She's living my dream.
Making videos with Yannick Alenau, with all the chefs.
It's incredible.
Since I did my studies abroad and I was like switching countries every year, I had to adapt
myself to the different culture and I had to adapt myself to the different food they
were serving and during my last year of studies, I was in Barcelona and I was like how am I
going to remember all these amazing places when I'm going to come back to Paris?
So that's how I started my account.
So you're really international at first.
You have three nationalities.
What are they?
I'm French, Danish and Lebanese.
I'm just the little French speaking a hard accent of English but you're the real...
You're connected to the world.
Merci beaucoup.
The crepes are really big.
This is a big crepe.
So I have the gaufre, the waffle with the speculoos, the dulce de leche and the lemon
on it.
And Estelle took the salted caramel crepe.
But what I like about this restaurant, La Creme de Paris, it's not that expensive.
You can have a savory crepe or a sweet crepe for not a lot, maybe less than 10 euros.
Let's go.
Is it good?
What do you think about the texture of the crepe?
Because I have some friends who don't really love the crepes here because it's a bit thick
and they prefer the crepes that are lighter.
But I really love the quantity of the crepe here.
I mean the quantity is really good for the price but it's a bit thick so you can really
feel the paste.
I'm gonna try the waffle.
It looks really good.
The waffle texture is really good because it's fluffy, it's not too crispy.
You have a lot of texture in the mouth and I love the mix of the dulce de leche and the
lemon, a bit sour and sweet at the same time.
I really like it.
Okay, they saw that we were filming videos and they offered us some ice cream.
When the restaurant offers us something, we are even more happier.
We have caramel ice cream and pistachio.
How is the caramel?
It's okay.
It's okay?
It doesn't taste too much caramel.
For me, it's a bit more like creamy.
So it's not my favorite.
Okay, I'm gonna try the caramel.
Oh, I like it.
The caramel is light.
You don't have like the bitterness of the roasted sugar paste.
I'm gonna keep going with the pistachio.
The pistachio is stronger.
You have like the real taste of the pistachio nuts.
It's not like the chemical flavor that you can find in other ice cream for pistachio.
It's like the real taste.
Okay, Estelle, as a food expert, what is one of your favorite restaurants that you tried
in Paris or some of your coup de coeur as we say in French?
So I think I just tried recently La Datcha.
And honestly, it was incredible.
French food, but the owner is from Ukraine.
Everything was amazing.
I tried their brunch.
I had the affinity.
It was the best I've ever had in my life.
The viennoiserie.
You have them here, the viennoiserie.
The incredible thing is that La Datcha, I made a vlog about this restaurant a few days ago.
I mean, no.
It's beautiful.
I've already made a vlog about La Datcha.
She's not a paid actress.
The best restaurant she tried was already on this channel.
So go watch the vlog.
What about you, Theo?
We all want to know.
Okay, my coup de coeur.
There are some restaurants I love to order on delivery.
I love to order Dalmata for pizza and street Bangkok for street food.
It's incredible.
But for a restaurant, an experience that I really loved was Nectar.
Nectar, they have a multiple courses meal.
And it's incredible.
You have the drinks that come with the dishes.
A lot of little appetizers that are offered with the menu.
And you eat like nine different types of food.
Nectar is a great one.
And I want to try it on video.
So Nectar, invite me again, please.
Okay, Estelle.
What was your favorite item in this restaurant?
The crepe.
But it was big.
It's big.
I think that I really liked the ice creams.
The pistachio was great.
But even the caramel was like really light.
But it's fresh.
It's really good to have it.
And the waffle is still a good choice.
But it's a bit too big.
It's like a real meal.
If you come to La Creme de Paris, don't eat before.
Come for the lunch or for the dinner.
Because this is like a real restaurant.
The waffles are gluten-free.
Not the crepe.
But if you are gluten-free, the waffles are for you.
For the bill, everything costs 17 euros.
8 euros for the crepe.
9 euros for the waffle.
For a big quantity like that, it's a really good price.
We are out of La Creme de Paris.
It's starting to rain.
But it was a great place.
It's perfect if you come to Paris to try crepes and waffles.
Did you like it?
Yes, it was a nice place.
