Where I direct my mind, my thoughts will grow.
So welcome to Pathway Yoga.
My name's Dawn.
So if you like what I'm talking about, please like and share and subscribe.
Where do I spend my time and where do I place my energy?
This is a question that I've been thinking about this week.
And with that question, thoughts will grow.
So I... It's lovely weather out and the sun's out.
So I look to nature for the answers.
If I press a seed into the ground, what happens underneath?
The shoots start to grow.
They spread.
They use the moisture, the earth to start to help them grow and flourish.
And then whatever you planted will grow.
Fruits, vegetables, flowers.
So this is like a thought.
If we imagine a thought as a seed
that we're pressing into our mind
and then the roots will start to grow.
Nothing comes to the surface straight away.
So what is happening?
Our attitudes may change.
Our patience, the way we talk to other people.
Then things will start to happen on the surface,
such as we may become allergic to things.
We may have eczema, asthma, acne.
All of these things will start from one seed.
So where are we placing our energy and what are we allowing to grow?
So ask yourself,
is the thought necessary?
Is it helping you in everyday life?
Is that worth putting all your energy into that one thought?
Also, another way is that if it's necessary
to keep going over the same thought, does it serve you any longer?
Or we could look at it as another way.
If you point your vehicle in that direction,
you are going to go there.
If you don't want to go there, then don't point your vehicle
in that direction.
So if my mind keeps going back to that thought,
how can I help that?
Well, again, you can change your environment
if you're sitting and dwelling over something.
You could get up and go for a walk.
You could do your physical practice.
You could meditate on it.
So in other words, you can direct your mind
to that thought and then see why it keeps coming up.
You could look at that thought and then breathe,
breathe in let and breathe out go, learning to let go of it.
And again, you may even want to discuss your thoughts
with someone you trust, your teacher or other people around you
to help you look at what and why it's really coming up.
In other words, how do you want your garden to look?
What do you want to grow?
Or how do you want to color your life?
