Ah, holy cow, can you believe it's time to go already?
Most importantly, we have to go see Pepper.
We're gonna see her in 24 hours,
but first we have to get there,
which means a 13 and a half hour flight from Seoul to O'Hare
and then O'Hare to Grand Rapids
to go to my parents' house to get Pepper.
But first, snacks for the trip.
In our four years of travel,
we've shared that life on the road
isn't all staged photos and slow motion twirls.
We're Tim and Finn,
and whether we're stuck in the mud,
stuck in the rain, or stuck at the border,
we're sharing the unfiltered reality of it all.

Oh, I will say,
with all this foreign currency in every country,
whatever we have left over in cash
is typically our snack budget for right before the flight,
so we're gonna go spend our cash on snacks.
Let's go.
Tucked all of our snacks in for the plane.
It's all the important food categories.
Important food categories like
jerky,
Pokemon,
sweet potato,
and then the fun things like, oh.
Oh.
You had three kinds of jellies?
Well, it was buy two, get one free.
I at least got jerky, not,
I got jerky, nuts, and Oreos.
You got jellies.
I got jerky.
Wait, that's my, oh.
And sweet potatoes.
Double jerky, and how much money do you have left?
Only 1,001.
Nice.
And then I threw a bunch of change in the Unicef jar.
There we go.
Good job.
Ready?
Welcome to the cruise.
You did the scariest jumping of all time.
That's kind of scary.
It's tall, look at it.
Hello, my name is Airstar.
She speaks English, too.
Please come and say Airstar,
if you need any help from me.
She's talking to us.
Say Airstar.
Good luck to you all.
That's some self-check-in tips.
Have one person in charge of passports
and this kind of stuff.
It's just easier for one person to turn their brain off.
Lounge life has totally changed everything.
We began this trip with lounges,
and we will end with lounges.
So Finny does all the credit card stuff for us
and all the perks and everything,
and I've always thought, like,
lounges, like, what is the big deal?
Well, I'll tell you what the big deal is.
Having, like, the hour and a half or two
before you have to get on your flight
where you can actually just go chill
and they're not screaming at you over loudspeakers,
game-changer.
I'm lounge life for life.
Yeah, this'll work.
A good meal before a flight.
We've just been eating so much,
and I love eating.
I could definitely eat, so this is unusual,
but it's five o'clock.
This is the first thing I've had to eat today
because we've just been, like,
eating out for six weeks,
and I, like, I wasn't even hungry.
I was just like, I don't need to go to lunch
while I'm packing for the flight.
Like, I'll just eat at the airport.
My strategy when we have the lounges before the flight
is to have a couple bevies before
because everybody knows boarding
is the shittiest part of the whole flight, right?
If you can make it past that stress-free,
it's a good way to start a 13-hour flight.
Maybe you'll show us that machine later.
Yeah, I will, I will.
Oh, did I hear something crazy?
We just realized on this flight,
we're jumping,
we're rewinding in time,
so we take off at 7 p.m.,
and we land at 6.30 p.m. on the same day,
so we're actually going back in time a half hour.
Well, it seems sillier when there's a camera facing me,
but I do always stretch before the plane.
I don't really care how silly it looks,
but like, it's just, you have to.
I mean, it's too long to that,
and I think Tim's more embarrassed.
He stretched at the hotel with his sciatica and everything,
which ended up being great this whole trip.
Can you even believe it?
After all that stuff in Mexico,
so glad Tim's feeling better,
but if there's a time to be uncomfortable,
it would be another two half hour flights.
I know, I'm weird.
Like, whatever, whatever, it's fine.
You want more tips?
We got them.
It's just been 30 minutes
filling this up with a drinking fountain.
Two liters of water.
Obviously, on these long flights,
they give you food, they give you water,
they give you drinks and stuff,
but I took them to go through like a liter of water extra
of what they give you,
so it's just, you bring as much water as you can carry.
I also have water in here.
Just, you don't want to be thirsty
in the middle of the night on your plane,
and then another tip, we're here in line.
As you can see, it's a very, very, very long line.
For these longer flights,
it's best to be the last on the flight.
You know everyone's always racing onto the plane
for those short flights?
Well, you're racing for overhead storage
for your carry-on and stuff,
but for these, there's plenty, plenty, plenty of space,
so there's no need to, there's no need to get on early.
Boarding can take like a half hour,
and then you're just adding a half hour
on the front end of your flight sitting down,
so it's good to stand up, you know, after you're stretching.
Maybe time for more stretching.
I was just thinking about standing with posture,
using some ab muscles and some back muscles.
If I do lunges down the whole flight,
will anyone think I'm crazy?
Let's see some.
Let's see some farmer walk.
Fitness, it's a lifestyle.
Okay, so the lighting is so nice,
you can see a sunset.
We're gonna go to sleep on this flight.
So you definitely want to keep your circadian rhythm
as intact as possible.
They're going to turn off the lights in the plane,
I like to keep the window open a little bit
so that you can continue to see outside,
watch the sunset, kind of get in that mentality.
Is the sun going to set faster as we fly east?
No, I think we're flying into daytime.
Doesn't that mean night will be shorter?
We don't know anything.
Always, always, always check a seat guru
when you are booking your seat on a plane.
I use it, but sometimes, either user error or whatever,
this is a different seat map from what I anticipated,
so I'm not sure what our seats are,
so hopefully, wait, not even seat guru.
When I went to check in online,
it just says three and three,
but this is obviously three, three, three.
I booked us all the way in the back
because these were the only two seats I could find
where we could book window and aisle
with the hopes that nobody is in between us in the middle,
so fingers crossed.
Confirmed.
Cabin door shut.
I think this is the only empty seat I can see,
so part of that trick is you don't want to do this trick
closer in the front of the plane.
Somebody's going to grab that seat,
but you really need this for our 13 and a half flight,
then towards the back of the plane.
Nobody wants to sit in the middle in the back
as a single traveler, so.
Plus, we got an extra pillow and a blanket.
Most airlines don't care if you throw these on right away.
For some reason, all the VIA jets
just wouldn't let me keep my headphones on,
but noise canceling is just so.
My starter pack for takeoff, noise-canceling headphones,
the iPhone full of media.
Just an attitude not to be disturbed by anything,
especially safety briefings.
What is this?
Oh, I don't know.
And a really stinkin' cute,
this is what I could find on the last day.
It's cute.
And then these are the Bose.
QC35Qs.
The best.
They're just noise-canceling headphones,
and I've always seen people with them,
and then one day, I called them,
and I'm like, this is nuts, I can't go back.
So I got slippers.
I'm going to do everything I can to, like, speak,
so I'm going to put my shoes in my Tim's shoes,
and we're just going to bring him.
To kill some time today,
and I'm not particularly hungry,
I risked it and went for the Korean food option.
I even got instructions on how to eat, what I mean.
Kill an hour.
There was 13 fast hours on the plane today.
I'm sure the footage was absolutely stunning,
especially the nighttime scenes,
where it was lit like a horror movie.
If there's one overall essential thing to learn,
it's bring prescription medication
that makes you go to sleep for the entire flight.
It's time to go see Pepper.
Good morning, and welcome to a new season of Tripped.
Woo!
We are back in Mexico, back from Asia,
but we are not going to be showing you the same thing.
Another week, another road trip.
Woo!
