Santa's Christmas Day by Lavina
Thienne It was
a beautiful December day
with a clear blue sky
and the snow-covered tree tops
It smelled good at Christmas
but in Santa's cabin
everything was quiet The usual
fever and commotion of gift
preparations had subsided
Because Santa Claus had gotten sick
What a pity What will the
children say this year
deprived of Christmas gifts
Sadly pondered Santa Claus
lying on his bed and suddenly
heard a noise
coming from outside
He looked out the
window and saw his
four queens patiently
waiting as usual
But he seemed out of breath
As if returning from a long journey
While Santa was
looking more closely
He couldn't believe his eyes
Because behind the queens
a procession of sleds could be seen
Transporting young children
dressed in all colors
One by one they
jumped into the snow
and were heading
toward Santa's cabin
Soon they heard someone
knocking on the door Enter
shouted Santa Claus because
he was extremely curious
A little girl entered
hugging something
soft I learned that you
were sick Santa Claus
Did she start
Then I give you my teddy bear
to keep you company
Well thank you little
Emma said Santa Claus
because he knew the name of every child
Then came a little boy
holding a red package in
his arms We knew you were
sick Santa Claus he said
Then my family knitted
this little quilt for
you to keep you warm
on winter days Well Paul
What wonderful ideas cried
Santa Claus stroking her
head One by one
the children
passed through Santa's door
Everyone bringing a special gift to Santa so he
feels better There were
cookies pies and socks
gloves books
puzzles and
even a small Christmas
tree "Christmas
delivered to my door "
"Santa exclaimed "Come
in and share all these
wonderful gifts " He gathered
the children around him
In a large circle
"Santa Claus " soon
cried Emma "what
gift do you prefer "
"Dear little ones " said
Santa Claus with a smile
"it is love and kindness
that you showed me today "
They are the most beautiful
of all gifts » He looked
tenderly at all the little faces pressed toward him
Here you go my little ones
the true meaning of Christmas
Then Santa Claus warmly
embraced each
child in his arms
