Grand Opening of Mister Croissant Bakery Cafe at Middletown NY, June 2024

I want to congratulate you. I want to thank you for your flagship bakery, I guess it's called, in downtown Middletown. And I wish you the best of luck. I know this is going to be the first of many, but the first is always the first, and it's here in downtown Middletown on North Street. So without further ado, I want to introduce Mr. Prasad. Thank you everyone for coming for this ceremony. And we are looking forward to express this Mr. Prasad towards our community. We believe in following the truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance. Using this truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance and being involved with the community and spreading this beautiful principle we believe in to all our neighbors. Thank you so much for coming. I truly appreciate it. Thank you Mayor. You're welcome. Thank you. Afternoon everybody. It's a good problem to have when you can't fit everybody into your grand opening, so we're so excited to see such a great crowd, and this really represents certainly the best of Middletown community, the best of the Hudson Valley, and what's happening here really, to your credit, Mr. Prasad, I should say, it really represents the best of America. Entrepreneurship, the community coming together, this revitalization, which the mayor is very humble, Mayor DiStefano. I represent 82 different municipalities across the Hudson Valley. What's happening in Middletown is special, and it's exciting, and it is a direct result of the mayor's leadership and his team, so give a well-deserved round of applause. I'm honored to introduce my partner in the state senate, Senator James Koufos, and his daughter, who's enjoying... I want to say two things, I want to be brief, because we've got to get people in here and buying stuff and supporting the new business here, but two things, one, and Congressman Ryan mentioned it, I want to underscore it, this is the American dream you're looking at in Rakesh. Came here from India with nothing, with nothing, and now look what he's brought here in the heart of the city of Middletown as a new business owner. Second thing I want to mention, and this is important, certainly we'd be supporting anybody that opens up a new business here in Middletown, but this is not just a random aspiring pastry chef. This is not some new entry into this space. Rakesh is someone who has worked his way through this field, through his industry over the years, to the point where before opening up this business we're all in, he was the head pastry chef at Cipriani. If you don't know what Cipriani is, it is a world-renowned hospitality restaurant company. The head pastry chef is here in the city of Middletown opening a new business. We are very lucky to have him here. This is some of the best in the business that we are tasting that he has brought here in the state of Middletown. We have to continue supporting him, and certainly if today is any indication of the community support and thanks for you being here in our community, I think you've got many successful years ahead of you here in Middletown.
