(Premier League 2023/2024): Highlights Sheffield United - Tottenham Hotspur

Well, the two teams move in towards a huddle and it is the perfect weather for the end of the season. It's kind of what you expect, we rarely get it, but this is what you kind of expect to see at the start, the end of a season. Spurs are going to kick things off, they'll be kicking towards the Kop in the first half. And for the final time this season, we will hear the Sheffield United anthem belted out from all four sides of Bremel Lane. Sheffield United might go to capitalise, they've nicked it off him, in towards Ben Brereton-Diaz. Big chance for United. Looks as if Heymer's going to take it, he's going to curl it! And he's curled it straight at the keeper. United take the three-kick quickly. Heymer, Heymer, 30 yards from goal, clips it into Brereton-Diaz! Oh, it's come off the post I think. Spurs win it back though, here's Kulosevsky, Kulosevsky shoots and he has scored! Just as Sheffield United were enjoying a decent spell and a decent start to this game. That Premier League class from Spurs shows, and it's Sheffield United 0-1 Spurs. Meros passes a good one, finds Maddison, Maddison slips it through, Kulosevsky's after another one here, is he going to get another one? No, it's a good save. Maddison's going to just easily play this to the edge of the area, here comes a shot, oh, big save from Wes Boddingham again. He's going to go on long, Boddingham going to slip through! Cameron Archer's through! What a moment, the keeper, can he finish? Maddison, Son, Son with a lovely turn to get past Bogle. Son pulls it back, Maddison, what a block that is, chance still not gone, it's deflected, it's another great save from Wes Boddingham. Shot driven in, there's no stopping that one though. Belted in by Porro, Boddingham did his best, but eventually it's hammered in by Porro, and there was no stopping that, and it's Sheffield United 0-2 Spurs. Here is Son, Son checks back, good footwork from him, and then he drills it towards goal. It goes up towards Maddison, ball into the box, it's gonna be another one here, and it's deflected in, I think it might have come off as Sheffield United play a last for their own goal, as it was crossed in and deflected through, and Wes Boddingham just couldn't keep it out, it goes into the goal, and Spurs have their third in the 65th minute. Blades nil, Tottenham three. And there's the full-time whistle. So it finishes 3-0 to Spurs here at Bramall Lane on the final day of the season, as Ange Postakoglou and Chris Wilder shake hands. No final day victory for the Blades, who will be in the Championship next season, but at least some spirited performances from some in that first half. So defeat here for Sheffield United, 3-0 against Spurs, we're back tomorrow with football heaven between 6 and 7, dotted up next on Radio Sheffield. Good night.
