The conditions have been rather mixed coming into this game. We've had some rainfall around. Guillaumon with the pass through. Tiaramchuk going through on goal. Can he finish off? He can! Into the top right corner but it looks as if the goal will not stand. Offside called against the Ukrainian who is in need of a goal. Looked inside, right footed delivery over towards the back post. It's met by Takakubo and that one is dotted across the line. Real Sociedad take the lead. Andre Silva with the goal and it is wonderful work from Takakubo. With the control, he does like that control with his inside of his left foot. Swung into the area on a convincing clearance. There's the bending follow-up Parried away to the night, Beñat Torrientes. Georgi Bamanashvili had it well sighted. Comes the free kick towards the back post. Headed into the side netting. Barovechaya was coming in like a rocket. Managed to connect but only finds the side netting. Marino. Oh he's found his teammate in space. The shot is lined up. Looked like he got a little tap off the foot of Andre Silva as well. Becker found himself in so much space. Falkir have been drawn at the top. It's Diego Lopez. Quick look up from him. Tries to bring one across. Could this be set up for a strike? It's pushed away. Saved a second time as well by Alex Barrino. A tremendous double stop. It looked an almost certain goal. It's Canos waiting for the ball. He calls for it. A good concern that doesn't pass to him. Instead it comes to Alberto Mari. Soft shot from him. Saved by the goalkeeper. On to Takakuba. Takakuba giving another shove. It just takes a Valencia player out of the equation. Here's Bryce Mendes. He's scanned to the right. He knows where Takakuba is. He wants a player on the left. Here comes a shot. Oh Mamanashvili makes the save. Denies Becker. Move back up into sixth place. A point clear of Real Betis. They are ecstatic for Valencia. The European dream is over. They needed to win this one and they did not do enough.
