Hello everybody! Welcome back to another episode of Paddington's Pantry where my puppy Paddington
and I make some dog-friendly treats. So today we are making a dog birthday cake and that is because
on Friday it's Paddington's one year birth... that was like the worst way of wording it I think.
So on Friday it's Paddington's first birthday so I thought I had to make him a birthday cake.
This is a turkey bacon birthday cake and it actually smelled good when I was baking it.
I don't know what that says about me but he certainly enjoyed it so I hope that your puppy
will too. So let's get started. Again before we get started make sure to check with your vet before
you make this for your puppy just to make sure that everything is safe and appropriate for your
own puppy's diet. Everything's fine with Paddington but again every puppy's different so you want to
make sure that your puppy is safe and healthy and happy. So first you want to place the turkey
bacon in a food processor and pulse until it's finely ground. And I had no idea food processors
were like so efficient. I am never going to be hand mincing anything ever again. Then pour the
flour and baking powder into a large bowl and mix to combine. Add the bacon, some coconut milk, oil
and eggs and mix until well combined. Pour the mixture into a greased baking sheet and smooth
the surface. Bake at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 25 to 30 minutes or until it's golden brown.
Then cool completely on the baking sheet. Then you want to slice the cake into rounds with a
as you like so this is why using the baking sheet is super super handy. And then any leftovers can
just be chopped into small pieces and used as treats. So you want to stack the layers of the
cake on top of each other spreading about half a tablespoon or one tablespoon of cream cheese
between each layer. Then you want to coat the entire cake in a thin layer of cream cheese.
Slice the mini carrots into thin sticks and you can use these as candles to mark how old your dog
is turning. Then decorate the cake with the candles and then I use some sliced strawberries and some
blueberries. And then just slice your dog a small slice or let your dog go crazy like Paddington did
and you are done. He didn't eat this whole thing. He had like a couple bites and then I took it away
and he cried like the whole rest of the day. But it looks good on camera when he's just like
munching on the entire thing. So thank you guys so much for watching. I hope that you like this
recipe. If you'd like to see more Paddington's pantry recipes click here for the playlist.
